We’ve been coming to Pear tree weekly since they’ve opened and we love spending time here, I’m a pancake addict and the fact that they serve pancakes all day every day makes me super happy :)

Staff are lovely and make you feel right at home. The owners have worked really hard here and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

We went for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon, food and coffees were great. Very friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.

Would be great to have 2 & 3 course weekday specials / set menus like the competitors around the corner :)

We had a fantastic big breakfast here this morning. Nothing is too much trouble for the amazing smiley staff. Fantastic service, fantastic food. The best in the area.

Very relaxing place, great addition to the neighbourhood. Nice teas, smoothies and pastries. The food looks amazing too.

Very nice burger and a nice selection of craft beer. Everything is cooked fresh I think, and the open kitchen inspires confidence.

As usual, I am always rushing to work - and last Monday was no different. But as I turned around the corner from my block, I actually stopped and backtracked my steps. New café! And more importantly - the amazing spread of pastries are screaming out to me! Well, I am sure my office wouldn't mind me showing up a little late if I just nip in and get some coffee, pastries to go - for me and everyone. Best decision I made for the day! Loved the coffee, the pastries, the place looks modern but feels warm and cosy and best of all - the owner himself, Matt -was chipping in to help at the counter, full of smiles. I have always have high regards towards young entrepreneurs who love what they do and I can see Matt is one of them - he is the boss, but he is also one of the crew, nice! I think I have found my new hang out place, it has a good vibe for good conversations over great food. Anyways, I have been waking up earlier since then, so that I can pop in to Pear Tree - an inspiring (and delicious) start to my day!!

Amazing little place that the area has been crying out for! Well priced and delicious coffee and food with wide selections, lovely staff and a very welcoming light and breezy atmosphere. Made me feel like I was back in Sydney... Can't sing higher praises!

Amazing food, super friendly staff, with a menu that is constantly getting refreshed with super tasty new dishes. Can't get enough of this place!

I'd love to give 5* because they more than deserve. The food presentation and the ingredients they use (egg yolks are orange like a sunset by the sea) are top quality. No doubts it's one of the best places to have some great food. I asked for a French toast with bacon and fresh berries😍 Spectacular!

Chorizo sausage and eggs were just as good! Decent portion if you're hungry.

The reason why I'm giving 4 out of 5 is the wait time. I can see staff working hard and they do their best. No complaints about that. But they should have one or two more people to help out.

I am definitely coming back there and I will also recommend that place to my local friends.

Good food. However, service is very slow. Waited for our food (1 eggs royale, 1 scrambled chorizo) for 50 mins and had to rush. Kitchen looks to be running at overcapacity.

First time at The Pear Tree, we both had the pulled pork burger, and thought it was very tasty. Staff were nice, friendly. We’ll be going back.

By chance we stumbled across this brand new coffee shop come restaurant. It has all the trappings one would expect of a modern artisan restaurant, quirky tables, great bathrooms, artisan breads, conserves, preserves, a selection of oils, cordials and other little bits. The extensive restaurant menu will have you spoilt for choice, from the tantalising breakfast choices, salads, burgers, slow cooked pork belly or choose something from the robata grill.



Having had our fill for the day, we opted for a coffee. There service here is efficient, friendly and the menu reasonably priced given its location. Sadly I had to send back my delicious looking almond croissant as it was hard, the staff were very apologetic and my second choice the red(ish) velvet cake went down a treat.



They need to invest in cake stands with glass covers to ensure the freshness of the cakes as the pineapple upside down cake suffered a similar fate.



As it's new we overlooked some of the minor failures and set out to enjoy one of the nicest lattes and cappuccinos this side of the river.



With an investment is some roadside signage and a toilet sign this place actually could become a foodie and coffee lovers mecca.



So the next time you in the area pop in for a coffee, snack or full on feast.
