You have so much choice and the pies are lovely . Too big for me to eat in one go but you can get to take home what you cannot eat and enjoy it the next day.

Wow! Waited a while to be fed but it was busy and totally worth the wait... there was 7 of us in our party 5 had pie and all of us were totally impressed, never had a pie with so much tender and tasty meat they were delicious (I'd recommend the Percheron - ox cheek - it was fabulous!!!) My daughter had chicken goujons which were massive and the portion was huge - she emptied her plate which is unusual for her. We will definitely visit again - staff were lovely and the owner was really friendly and took time to chat with us which was a lovely touch. Thanks for a great evening üòÅ

We went here for tea after reading good reviews on the Internet. We were staying at the southgate b and b in hunmanby and it was a good 15 min walk to the Inn but well worth it. The portions were huge and all homemade. Would highly recommend.

Was staying in York for the weekend and my partner had been there previously a few years before so he recommended we take the hour drive... I was, a bit dubious as I'm not really a pie person.... Well. What can I say... The choice is mind blowing took me ages to choose what to have but oh my God it was amazing... Highly highly recommended.. Staff were friendly and very patient... Definitely go bk if we're ever up that way again... Great experience.

Walked from The bay near Filey about mile and a half with the wife and dog. Food was superb had the lamb my wife had the beef pies. The walk did us good due to the size of the meal. I don’t want to make out we went for the quantity because the quality is superb

Visited this place on Sunday, it was our first time eating there. We was welcomed by a very friendly gentleman who seated us and explained how the pie board worked. Great idea might i add! We was so impressed at how officiantly this pub is run. And all the staff are so attentive. The pies they have to offer is a wow factor! We all had different pies and they was all delicious. Honestly can not fault this pub. Fantastic food..we shall certainly visit again when we are next up there. Another bonus aswell they offer takeouts, ideal if your staying at reighton sands like we was. Glad we found this lovely place.

Very welcoming. Fitted myself and family in without a booking as we are holiday and didnt realise it's best to , at quite a busy teatime. The food was absolutely beautiful and enjoyed by all 5 of us . Thank you ÔøΩ

Stayed there from Friday 29th till Monday 2/7/18 in our motor home. Pie menu amazing and definitely not for the faint hearted, brilliant gin selection which we did our best to get through! The Spirit of Yorkshire distillery is 5 mins away! All the meals we had very good, service very good and good selection of ales and lagers, Jon and his team are doing a great job, can’t wait for our next visit!

We all ordered different pies. When they came they were large portions. Lots of meat in the pies and each one was delicious. Will becoming back in the future. Can't wait for our next visit.

It was our first time at The Piebald and when we arrived the bar staff nicely explained the procedure and gave us a table number and asked us to find a table to have a drink. It was busy and after about 30-45 minutes we were called to our table. Wow!! We have never tasted pies like this. I had diced chicken and black pudding pie and my partner had mutton and haggis pie. The portions were big and were so glad we didn’t have starters. We were so replenished that a sweet was out of the question but did have Irish coffee to round off a perfect evening. For Pie Lovers everywhere there could be another meaning in their saying “The Wolds Best Pies” !!

First time there as we were staying the weekend at a nearby caravan park. Service, first class, food unbeatable, place spot on. Best pies we have ever had. The meat was perfect. No fat or gristle. So tender and tasty. What a gem of a place. Couldn’t recommend it too highly. We’ll be back!

Extensive range of pies on offer in this friendly village pub. Superb food beside the wood burning stove on a cool winter evening. Worth a visit if passing by, worth stopping for a meal when you are on your way somewhere else. Plenty to see and do in the area. Large car park...

Excellent food, great beers, very friendly and helpful staff and the decor no longer resembles a 70’s social club unlike our last visit over a year ago....the new owners know what they are doing and do it very well, thanks for a great experience�

Booked in advance for a party of 7 so had to give our order 24 hours before. We were called through to our table within 15 minutes of arriving. This wasn't our first visit and the standard of food and service has been excellent each time. Can't wait to return!

All the staff were really friendly and helpful.

A lovely cosy pub with a nice outside area to sit and a big field for the kids to run.

We were then showed through to the very modern restaurant to eat which was great.

The food was beautiful and plentiful. I lost count of how many pies were on offer, spoiled for choice. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing couldn’t fault it at all, waited a while but when you get that kind of quality it’s well worth it, even my son had some of my pie and loved it and he doesn’t eat pie lol , well done definitely be coming back

We used to love coming here. Especially for all the differing types of pies and the food is always outstanding. However me and my partner were disappointed. We were told we were unable to sit and eat at the bar, so we were moved to the restaurant side, sat next to two people despite the rest of the restaurant being empty. After complaining to the bar staff, they allowed us to sit were we liked in tje restaurant area and the food was good. When we went to pay the attitude of bar staff was appauling, and we saw a couple eating at the bar side so we don't understand why we couldn't eat there. Unfortunately we will not be returning.
