Tomorrow is our last day. We won’t be serving food, but the coffee machine will be on and the flat whites yummy as usual. Eeeek! ❤️🌹

It’s not a decision we’ve taken lightly, but after much thought I’ve decided that the best time for a new beginning is now. It’s taken months of deciding, but with that said, and out into the universe - The Pineapple Cafe will be opening it’s doors for the last time this Saturday.
I’ve loved becoming a little part of so many beautiful people’s lives, and seeing you daily, and will miss that part of the business so much.
I’ll still be available for cake orders if any ones st...arts to go cold turkey without a brownie or cake fix, and a food blog will be coming shortly so keep your eyes peeled for my recipes and Pineapple secrets 😂
Thank you for an amazing year and a half! Thank you to the amazing team and family at Real Fitness for their continued love, support and positive vibes! On to new things we go ❤️

Guiness World Record holder the House! Huge congratulations to Pete Robinson of The Four Oarsmen, the team that recently set a new world record rowing across the Atlantic Ocean!
They endured high seas, suffered from serious sleep deprivation and rowed straight two hours on, two hours off for almost a month!

Summer fruit muffins!
The perfect healthy grab and go treat, or maybe even have one for breakfast. These homemade muffins are refined sugar free, dairy free, made with gluten free ingredients and are also vegan.
I like to take mine home and have it for breakfast, along with some coconut yogurt and sprinkle it with some plant protein powder. How would you eat yours?

Hi folks, the cafe will be closing early today as I’m giving a talk this evening for East Coast Visions.
I’ll be joining some very inspiring people, including Olympic snowboarder Jenny Jones, for an evening of Cinematic Storytelling.
There are still tickets available for the event, which includes an art exhibition, and entry into a raffle - where you could win a really fabulous surfboard. If you can make the event why not buy a ticket just to be entered into the raffle. Mon...ey raised goes to Surfers Against Sewerage.
The event is being held at Tyne Bank Brewery, hopefully see you there!

I’ve finally managed to get this beauty out, nothing says “Summertime is here” better than a hammock!
Having lived for years in Brazil, where every house has a hammock, it’s a dream come true to finally get one up - and the weather to go with it, in Alnwick!
... Baking is currently on hold... hammock time takes preference over cakes 😂

For those who thought Cal was photoshopped into the picture or forced in to surfing, I stumbled across this little video of Cal cruising the lagoons in Brazil.
You can see quite clearly he's quite chilled about the whole thing, he would sit like that and be sailed around for half and hour at a time.

Yesterday was national take your pet to work day, and although Cal is at the Pineapple almost everyday I thought I’d give him a shout out, because he’s class, my best friend, and I love him loads. He is the most loving and fun little dog, with so much character and an even bigger heart.
To celebrate the sausage - yes I just said that, here are eight facts about Cal that you might not have known.
* Cal’s Real name is Calabresa, it means sausage, in his native language Portug...uese * Cal’s favorite foods are broccoli and green beans, stir fried and served warm. * Cal’s native language is Portuguese, because he was born in Brazil 8 years ago. He moved to Northumberland 2.5 years ago when I moved home. Mini fact - he hates being cold! * Cal’s one true love was my other dog, a Rottweiler called Ameixa. They had nine puppies together, he was a loving father (see picture) and they didn’t spend a day apart, from the day he came to live with us, until the day she sadly died, two years ago. * This sausage loooooves to surf, kitesurf and paddle board, and he would roam the beaches and swim in the lagoons for hours on end in Brazil, it’s now temperature depending of course! * Cal managed to ground an airplane and hold up baggage for 1.5 hours-when he escaped his crate on the journey to the UK, and gave grounds crew the run around when they tried to catch him. He destroyed his crate and then tried to break out his love Ameixa from her crate too. * Cal has visited Brazil, Netherlands (windmill pic) Portugal and the UK * Cal loves a cuddle and will stand on his back legs and cuddle you for ages if he loves you ❤️

Beware of palm oil on Northumbrian beaches!
It can be harmful to dogs if ingested, and this nasty stuff has made its way on to our beaches, so please be careful when walking your pooches.
Palm oil is nasty stuff. It is made at great cost to the environment and there are reports that it can have ill effects on human health too.

The Pineapple Cafe would like to shoutout huge congratulations to Jack Brooks for winning his first boxing match!
Jack won with a technical knock out, just 37 seconds in to second round! Amazing stuff, given the oppositions age and boxing experience!
Jack popped in to the cafe for a well deserved protein smoothie this afternoon and we couldn’t help but bug him for a pic! #ganonjack
