When with my sister in law to see Alexander O"Neal what an amazing nite. Was thoroughly looked after and assisted by staff and was given a great disabled space for my chair. Will definately be going to see other acts I like when they come to the Plaza. Very disabled friendly

User

Went with a friend this afternoon to the cafe.....What a lovely experience. From the minute we walked in the door to the time we left we couldn't have been looked after any better. The food was lovely and the waitresses and waiters were attentive and made you feel you were the only people there even tho' the place was busy. All in all a very pleasant experience and one that we'll be repeating.

User

Went to see George Michael tribute act, loved every moment of it, staff were very friendly, bought drinks first, then a bottle of wine, told we couldn't take the wine in the theatre, we couldn't drink it all, so left it behind, it didn't matter we absolutely enjoyed our self's and would definitely come again

User

Well what can we say, we celebrated our wedding here yesterday, absolutely fantastic, everyone was great, Ted, staff and the volunteers, was a great talking point, and the plaza has certainly been put on the map by the southerners.

Thank you so much.

User

We went to see roy chubby brown here in September an amazing venue with great views of the stage from every seat.all the staff are very friendly. The bar could be a bit cheeper but overall it's worth going to see one of the amazing shows that are on throughout the year including there amazing panto at Christmas.

User

We saw the Beach Boyz tribute act last night, brilliant, the band was great, the music and harmonies were perfect, close your eyes and you'd think it was the Beach Boys. Fantastic show. After the show the boys came and met the public and thanked everyone as they were leaving. Well done. Found the staff very helpful and friendly, great night thank you.

User

We had a lovely afternoon tea at the Plaza today with tasty sandwiches and a range of homemade cakes. Reasonably priced too, would recommend! Make sure you book if you go on a Saturday as the first time we tried to go we were turned away as they were full :)

User

Visited this evening to see Count Arthur Strong but loved the Plaza, first time we've been. Beautiful art deco venue and the guy on the Compton theatre organ was ace! Was like stepping back in time. So impressed at your maintaining this gem of a theatre.

User

Visited the tea room with my mum this week. We enjoyed delicious coffee and cakes, with beautiful berries on the side! Great friendly service as always ÔøΩ

User

Just wanted to say thank you very much Stockport plaza and Facebook for my prize of two tickets to see The Stylistics last night , me and my husband had such a good night and the seats were really good such a great view, thanks very much xx

User

Just visited here for the first time to watch Aladdin. What a fantastic theatre, great building, friendly staff and plenty room when sat down with a brilliant view. Show was fantastic, hilarious and funny and great value for money. Will definitely go again

User

I was taken to see the George Micheal tribute act with my mum , beautiful building and loved every minute of the concert so nice to see different generations up and dancing in the room I’d like to think he would of been proud :) the band and tribute act were very good :)

User

I attended the recent guided back stage door and throughly enjoyed having access to all areas of this marvellous building, including dressing rooms and projection room. The history and details of the magnificent renovations carried out were brought to life by well informed and enthusiastic volunteers. A fantastic visit - well recommended!

User

First trip for me, to The Plaza cafe yesterday with my parents and my children and we all loved it! My 7 year old enjoyed her afternoon tea served on the traditional tiered plates, the food was delicious and the waiting staff were fabulous with my children too! Lovely food, great atmosphere and service. Looking forward to going back. Thank you!

User

Absolutely fantastic Pantomime this year!! We thought last year's was good until today! Ted Robbins and the rest of the cast was bloody brilliant highly recommend this to any family's with children old and young, I thought my 12 year old son may of been a little bit bored but he really enjoyed it! See you again next year!!

User

Went here to celebrate my mum's birthday. Loved the cake and tea, can not fault the quality. The decor is in theme with the place and the waiter/waitress are too. Prices are really good. My only negative was the service. Had to wait a while for cake and tea and could never catch the attention of the waiter to pay the bill.

User

We went to see the stylistics and they were great but did not think the warm up artist was appropiate or very good. What was most annoying was the audience talking all the way through the act and taking pictures and videos _ it spoilt the whole experience

User

We recently visited the Plaza 19/04/18 to watch Navi perform ( Michael Jackson Impersonator ) Navi's performance was amazing and we couldn't fault his show. The following reason is why we've given 2 star, At the end of the show Navi said he was doing a meet and greet in the bar for anyone who would like to meet him. When the show had finished we started to make our way towards the stairs, only to be stopped by a member of staff telling us "It's not happening" when I said Navi has said he's doing a meet and greet she rudely interrupted me again saying "It's not happening, our manager said it's not happening" as we made our way out I heard another member of staff speaking in a rude in a nasty tone towards parents with young childen and some disabled children saying again "It's not on, If you've got a problem see the manager" there was upset childen and disappointed fans that's evening. I came away that evening disgusted with the way people were being spoken to. I've messaged Navi on his Instagram page and got a response from him asking me to put in a complaint about the experience. If this is the way the Plaza staff or volunteers treat paying guest then they need more training or maybe they are in the wrong job. The paying public keeps the Plaza open and treating people in this manner is just wrong. This complaint has nothing to with Navi's show. I've watched a lot of shows at the Plaza and hopefully will do in the future but if I witness this behaviour from your staff again then I will take me money else where.

Very disappointed have made several visits to the cafe and always enjoyed but yesterday we were greeted at the door with we close in half an hour! we explained we had booked for the time we had arrived and were told it should be ok then. It was about 20 minutes before our order was taken then the drinks we had ordered sat on the bar for a further 10 minutes before we collected ourselves. The order for a ploughmans with brown bread roll was served with half a crust from a sliced white loaf! It was changed but the waitress made it obvious she was not happy about doing so. The extra ham ordered was not served and we asked for it to be removed from the bill We had to ask for a coffee which was included in the Connought tea that was ordered and when the bill arrived we had been charged for the coffee as an extra. the young waiter who took our order was very pleasant but the two waitresses that "served" our food were very rude and I use served very loosely as it was more or less thrown at us. It was obvious the staff were trying to get set up for a party and we were in the way - the booking should never have been accepted and had been made weeks earlier. The bill had a sarcastic "THANKYOU!" on it which we found very offensive. To this point we had been very courteous but on paying the bill with the exact amount due (after the overcharged items had been removed I added TIP please treat your customers better!!! We left and asked to speak to the manager, he was busy as a wedding party were just about to arrive, however when we explained what the problem was he did make an appearance and quickly tried to get us away from the foyer where the guests were due to arrive. He was totally disinterested in our complaint and said it was unusual and he would speak to the staff. We were really disgusted and very disappointed one of our party hadn't been to the venue before and we had told her how lovely it was, unfortunately that was not the case on this visit and I would never be able to recommend it to anyone again.
