Two decent hand pulled ales when we were here, though it's hard to get a big car into the car park

Good drinks, fast service, pleasant atmosphere. Food looked good.

Nice location and interior decor but there was a limited choice of ales. We chose to sit outside as it was sunny but the outdoor furniture, a plastic rattan style, was unfortunately very poor. The chairs were sunken and so was the table hence unstable. Not great with a six year old. The interior is very nice though.

Small double room was perfect for what we needed. Rather warm but there is an air con unit which came in very handy. Staff were great and were able to provide our group (5 rooms) with early check in which was appreciated. Located on main street.

The Plough was well furnished and had a good variety of popular drinks, including a plethora of gin. The only annoying thing was that it didn't serve food past 4 on a Sunday and the bar was difficult to get to due to the layout of furniture. Staff were very sharp and friendly.

Nothing special staff average food times limited would expect food to be served on a Saturday afternoon drinks very expensive no atmosphere

Stayed in one the b&b rooms for a wedding. Staff were great, helpful and all lovely. Able to handle a gluten allergy with ease, even making gluten free cookies for our friends with the allergy. The bar and restaurant are very well decorated, as are the bedrooms. Breakfast was a high standard with hot options made to order which were lovely. Saw a range of rooms due to 4 couples attending wedding, including bride, groom, best man and bridesmaid. Being an old building, the rooms are all different shapes and sizes, and the cost alters for small or large which was nice to see as not all b&bs do that. Was a few things that weren't well thought through and gave us issues to work around. Wardrobes were squat and no other hooks in the room other than the bathroom so needed to carefully drape longer clothing as not to crease it (brides dress and bridesmaids dresses were hard to find long hanging space for within 3 rooms so considering the upcoming wedding farye could invest in some high hooks, away from bathroom or dressing table areas or offer brides a freestanding rack or valet stand). Coffee machines in a few bedrooms were plugged in, in the wardrobes so noticed a few of us moved them to bedside tables due to having wedding clothes in there, didn't want the coffee anywhere near the clothes. We had room 1 which is a small double, it was well decorated with lots of nice touches, complimentary water and snacks, good bedding, flat screen TV, coffee machine. Just a few niggles made it sub par, the bathroom used sani-flo so was noisy and smelled the entire stay. Mildew and cracked tiles stood out against the high finish in the bedroom. No shelf in the shower for your products. The dressing table was next to bathroom door so needed to move things or people clear to go in or out of the bathroom. The mattress could do with a refresh. Windows looked onto fire exit route and brick walls so did not open. Had a large AC unit which again needed to be relocated to use it and was not very effective and noisy in a small room overnight. The windows only had blinds which still let in the light of the fire escape after dark so adding to noisy and hot did not make for the best sleep. These things just gave our stay a few little challenges to work around but if the Plough can fix them it would be a wonderful small room.
