This place is very busy in the summer but so much better in the winter. When the wind is howling and the waves are lashing the rocks outside it’s great to sit by the roaring fire and sample the local real ales. The food is pretty good too.

Amazing place to stay in a remote location. The staff were amongst the friendliest I have ever met. Room No 1 was so cozy and had a fantastic sea view. Food was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble to change on the menu when ordering. Tintagel is about an hour's walk of light to medium difficulty. Port Isaac is 4 hours away and is definitely a difficult walk. Minimum parking around the location but guests are reserved spaces.

This is a busy vibrant place in the summer that serves good food at a reasonable price. The view from this location is stunning, especially in the evenings, where you can watch the sun descend into the ocean. Good food, good selection of wine & beers and a fantastic location that creates a natural vibe.

Staying locally we have wandered down here most evenings. What a view! Beer is fabulous and they get through it quickly which means it is in the best condition.. Great staff and good food too.

Lovely coastal walk to a fantastic located pub, up on the cliff looking down over the beach. Had a table outside, we all had the mackerel which was cooked to perfection, cut in half & the bone came right away. Come with new potatoes & veg mix. Great local ales. Stunning views, lovely sunset. Highly recommended. Do great cream tea too..

Overnight stay at the port William. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good evening meal but not the choice at breakfast that we have found in other st austell inns. Room newly decorated but a bit on the small side. Not enough hot water pressure to run a bath. Car park for residents, but tricky manoeuvres required to get in and out. Would definitely return for the wonderful location and the sunsets.

Amazing views with fairly priced and tasty drinks/ food. What else can you ask for?!?! I'd highly recommend the sea food platter, which is pictured in this review. Wish I could be a "regular" here.

A really nice place to eat, first visit Roast Pork dinner, veggies just right, meat and potatoes and Yorkshire pud, delicious. Second visit there half a Korean roast chicken, chips lambs leaves and coleslaw, again delicious, G&t was very nice to .

It's pretty much our go to place when we're in the area, mainly because of the incredible views. The food there is fine but nothing special and some of the drinks are expensive. The staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. I do love the place!
