When being vegan it is not always easy to find somewhere to accommodate you - Thank you for a very delicious Main Course you made extra for me. Very good. Now we need work on the Starter and Dessert Menu :-)

We went to The Potting Shed for our wedding anniversary, we were served immediately even though they had an event going on outside. The food was lovely, nice size portions so we didn't leave feeling 'stuffed'. All courses were nicely cooked and presented. The staff were nothing but friendly and accommodating, especially when we realised we had left our bank card at home to pay for the meal! Fortunately, we didn't have to wash dishes, we were able to arrange payment over the phone. That's the last time I leave my bag at home! :-)

We all loved our meal at The Potting Shed and the ambience is amazing! A great place to to stop and experience the English country side.

User

Very nice pub with quality food and friendly staff.

User

Third visit to the Potting Shed and food and wine did not disappoint. This truly is one of my most favourite places to eat!

Sunday lunch on 27th August was a trial run before booking up for Christmas Day as I'd always wanted to try The Potting Shed but never got round to it. Now I cannot wait for Christmas.

Had 2 lamb roast dinners and a burger which were lovelly. Portion size was perfect and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and attentive.

Started with a Shed Ale which was great and ended with 3 cheese boards, mainly because the Chateauxneuf du Pape was so good we had to have another bottle with the cheeses.

The only slight fault with our visit was the stinky dog begging at the next table, but luckily they finished their meals and were gone before our dinner arrived.

Have booked again for my birthday in October and roll on Christmas Day.

Nicest pub we've been to in ages. They've absolutely got it right. Ambience and decor spot on and gorgeous food. Wish it was closer!! We will be back xxx

User

Lovely Ale!!

User

Great place, friendly staff and delicious food. Looking forward to our next visit!

User

For pub that had limited staff due to the weather....service was on point and food was amazing. Cannot recommend this place enough... twice baked cheese soufflé is a must...

User

Food is always exceptional.

Lovely atmosphere in a beautiful building, went on Valentine’s night with my partner and our dog and we had a lovely evening. Highly recommend.

First time at this venue. The wife and I took the AC cobra down the foss way and realised we were not going to make our pre-planned destination of Bradford on Avon in time, so we opted to stop here. I was initially disappointed that there was only one vegetarian option of sausages and as my previous experiences of veggie sausages have left a sour taste in my mouth (literally) I was resigned to giving it a go. What a revelation! They melted in the mouth and not only were they the nicest I have ever had it was the most heavenly dish I have ever tasted. The creamed leeks were perfect and the broccoli was superb. I can't believe other reviewers did not like it. My wife is a dead animal eater and went for the burger but she tried a mouthful of mine and instantly regretted her carnivorous order! If you are a vegetarian or even if you love your meat give it a try. I doubt you would be disappointed.....good beer too! Staff were friendly and service was superb. Will be making this our destination from now on even though it's nearly 100 miles from home!

User

Fantastic place great staff and the food is out of this world!

User

Excellent food and friendly staff, second visit for us and won't be our last.

User

My ribeye steak was perfect and the triple cooked chips yummy but the rest of my party were not so happy. The Quinoa salad had two things missing and was small. For the price it was poor. The staff were helpful and offered free drinks. Would go back for a steak and drinks but not for anything else. Sorry.

User

Excellent food, bar area and restaurant are beautiful. The log burner and seating area by it are great. Very attentive and friendly staff, I would give 5 stars but the toilets are a complete let down, old and cold

User

Amazing food. Lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately the service was a little off. Not shown to our table. No menus given until we asked. No offer for kids food to come out with starters. Little things but that is what I would like to give a 5.

User

Visited for Sunday lunch yesterday. Group of 6 at 1pm.

I ordered the Glamorgan Sausages as my main course.....big mistake. Portion ridiculously small. No accompanying veg apart from tiny broccoli portion. Relatives meals ok...fish and chips good but mediocre roasts with hard, burnt potatoes. Could have cooked much better myself! Brother in law said burger was lovely, though.

Last three visits, food just ok....not sure if we will return...seems they have stopped trying.

User

The same continued challenge for one of our favourite locals. The food continues to be excellent, but the lack of leadership for the staff is the biggest let down.

This time we faced a 'hard sell' to have a drink at the bar before our meal and when we didn't do what was requested , we were ignored for the next 5 minutes whilst he took a phone call.

Then our wine order was wrong and then had to wait far too long to get the correct wine.

Certainly still not as good as it once was...but as I said, the food is great!
