Lovely pub. Good value well cooked food and friendly staff. I had the mixed grill, less than £8 and there was plenty of it. I’ll be coming again soon to try the breakfast!

I was politely greeted on my arrival at the pub, the staff were very helpful and polite towards me, the staff were very quick at serving me and they all had a smile on their face. I felt very welcome there, overall I was very happy with my experience at the prairie and I would definitely recommend it.

I visited twice between 2 an 4 March the first time I had the Fully Nacho'd

6oz beef burger with giant nacho, American cheese sauce, sour cream, salsa, guacamole and jalapenos. and although I have been spoilt with the quality of burger I get back home, I have t say it was really nice, a decent portion, I followed this with Honeycomb Explosion Sundae

Crunchy honeycomb pieces, with vanilla flavoured ice cream, fluffy cream, sticky toffee sauce and a wafer this was an exceptional but guilty pleasure.

I called in on the 4th for a small breakfast which was well cooked and at £2.69 a snipped as it lasted me until I got home across the country. The staff were excellent and a credit to their employers.

One slight negative but not enough to change my rating was that the only hand pull the had on was Sharp's Doom Bar which I really don't like so as a pub that holds a cask marque it would have been nice to have an alternative

Fantastic pub! The staff are friendly and the food has been great every time we’ve visited. Breakfast is very good value for money and theres plenty of choice. Definitely a new favourite for us. We’ll be back again soon.

Cracking pub! The food is always spot on and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Had the Sirloin steak, topped with Garlic Prawns. It was cooked perfectly and bought out with a smile. What more can you ask for. Looking forward to trying the breakfast this weekend.

Been here twice in a week, let me just say I'm so fussy with my food no matter where I go, and I honestly couldn't fault the food or staff at the prairie. Thanks for lovely hot meals ,I will be back this week ÔøΩ

Another great visit to the Prairie, this time we went for breakfast and we weren't disappointed!! We tried the sizzling breakfast, which was delicious and plenty of it. Good quality bacon and sausages and perfectly cooked eggs üòäThe service was also very good, friendly but not over the top. Definitely my new favourite pub!

Had a great meal, served quickly, to two kids and three adults. Friendly, welcoming staff, who checked up on us throughout, very attentive, even though it was a really busy Saturday night.



Gentleman's facilities were great, clean, nothing broken, and no "odd" smells you can sometimes get in those types of places, very impressed.



5 sufficiently stuffed, with drinks too, for just over £30. Great last meal out on holiday.

Arter a long day hard working, instead of paying £22 for a steak dinner at the hotel we dove past and went back, good pub food bar staff are welcoming great value for money, no complaints from me. Keep up the good work. ��

We are frequent customers to Prairie, and usually we have no issues, this time however when we went, my fiancé's food was cold and the extras to go with the meal were missing. And when we did get them there wasn't a lot. The kitchen staff needs to learn the menu if I'm honest. The waiting staff were more than helpful, they comped our desserts and kept apologising for the mishap. We will be going back again as the food is good quality for a good price, but we don't hold our breath to everything being perfect.

Ordered and paid for food. Then barmaid came to my table to inform me my choice was now not available. I choose something as close to the price of previous order as possible. She then returns to tell me I owe 39p!!!! People on adjoining tables all comment as they are as amazed as am I. Food was ok for the price but hardly good customer service. Most places that screw up your order try to make up for it not chase you over a few pence. Good way to get rid of my 2p’s

Only one cask ale on, Sharp's Doom Bar, which was as bland as a keg bitter.

Had two meals off the two for £7.50 deal which was reflected in the portion size.

Good food what there was if it though.

A bit disappointed my son & daughter got me voucher which came on my phone when I tried to pay it took sometime to get it sorted if it was scan type would be much quicker the food was good but corn was cold I eat that first wasn't hot cold to bite into my partners food was look warm great service just poor food wasn't hot looked great it wasn't busy so no excuses ÔøΩ

Twice I have visited in the space of a week.

The end of last week I got a super stacked burger and the southern fried burger was definitely refried/reheated.

Today I have been and got an ultimate surf and turf and it was not to the description of the menu. No mushroom and no tomato. I asked for medium rare steak and it was well done. It definitely wasn't a rump steak as described it was a sirloin.

Very disappointed overall

Order sweet chill southern fried chicken sandwich and jack daniels chicken wings the sandwich came dry with nothing on and the chicken wings look cremated...not good.

I asked for a cheese slice on my daughters burger as she will only eat with a slice of cheese......Didn't think it would be a problem but the waitress said the chef wants 60p for it!!!! I'm sorry I thought I ordered a cheese burger at the till.

Worst lunch I’ve ever experienced here - gone on a huge down hill!

Salad was returned after being served with parts being brown... the ends of the lettuce, brought back basically the same with more brown chunks of lettuce added. You wouldn’t feed this to anyone at home & would have normally been binned!

Manager on duty: wasn’t interested and tried to tell me the brown colour where the lettuce has started to go off was normal for the part of lettuce which had been given- maybe for a rabbit !! Shocking

Worst breakfast ever !!! Every time we have been food has gone back because it's cold or something wrong I will never be eating here again sausages where burnt so they sent 2 more burnt sausages for a replacement (staff polite tho) sort your kitchen out !!

Wasn't great , ordered 2 burgers and a child's pizza , got told no burger buns so had to pick something else , then when my child's pizza came was so hard we couldn't cut it up for her to eat
