Wonderful brunch on Saturday morning with the whole family. Fluffy pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup for the kids and amazing Eggs Benedict with perfect hollandaise for me. Libby, my waitress was lovely and really kind to the kids, who were kept entertained with the crayons and colouring sheets provided. Lots of space to spread out and enjoy a family outing. Fantastic! Would definitely recommend.
The food is absurdly delicious, without pretence and makes me feel like I am eating in a hidden 1star restaraunt in France. After eating my way through the menu over the past couple of years I asked about the chef and discovered that of course Manu had trained and worked with Raymond Blanc for ages.
Quite possibly the best pub roast I’ve ever eaten beef cooked perfect the nicest tasting crispy on the outside soft on the inside potatoes and all the yummy trimmings just what the doctor ordered on a cold Sunday loved it
My favourite local! Monday is 2 courses for £11 and the main was genuinely amazing. The chief definitely knows what he is doing! Throughout the pub they have big!! tables, not the best for couples to share a quite drink/meal but thats the only thing I'd change. Chop chop guys, read this review and make it happen lol
Lovely pub, really good atmosphere, staff were friendly and food superb, would definitely recommend. We had Sunday lunch, my daughters had the roast beef and I had beef Bourguignon we all cleaned our plates
Food was lovely and so
Was the staff definitely go back
Food is always great here, staff are second to none, and it has a genuinely warm atmosphere..
Anyone posting a one due to food poisoning has just had too much booze..
Keep up the good work.. my favourite. Ed
Finally made it to The Prince Regent last night after many years of intending to visit on my trips back to the U.K. What a fabulous place! A proper English pub with a great beer selection, a relaxed feel and delicious food. I had the pie of the day with mash and peas, which was everything you'd want it to be. Lovely helpful staff too. Can't wait to come again!
Fantastic food, the staff were really helpful and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended,
Enjoyed a lovely family lunch to celebrate 3 birthdays, all opted for the yummy burger except for one liver, bacon & bubble+squeak. Attentive staff, fab food, and the 2year old was particularly impressed with his special side order of peas! Definitely recommend, thank you!
Best food. Best staff. Clean...warm...welcoming. excellent.
A great pub with a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and we all enjoyed ourselves.
The Landlord does a very good job
Used to be quite regular and had parties above. Recommend
The food was very good, much better than typical pub food. We ate there for dinner and brunch, the eggs Benedict is not to be missed. Service was a bit surly, I marked it down to recovery from the 10 years celebration, or perhaps anti old folks sentiment? Maybe it takes a few years for the servers to warm up to newcomers. Either way, highly recommended.
One tip, so to speak, they did not respond well to generous tipping. I know, I know, Europeans don't tip, but as an ex-restaurant server it's something I feel compelled to do. They did not take it well, I got the feeling they felt I was being condescending or something. Having said all that, highly recommended if you find yourself in the Hearn Hill or Brixton area.
Its a nice friendly pub , they do nice sunday dinners , and the landlord is helpful
Great pub and a hoofing roast beef dinner with all the trimmings. friendly atmosphere and dog friendly👍🍺🍺🍺🍺 try the 🌶 enfuzed vodka as a shot!!
Friendly, helpful staff and the foods always been either good or really good!
Fabulous place fabulous room upstairs for parties
We went to the pub to celebrate our friends birthday. I ordered the chicken roast with 'all the trimmings' and I was highly disappointed. Given the price, it should be to a much better standard. The roast potatoes were very hard and I could barely cut through them. The veg consisted of a few tiny carrots and hard broccoli. Almost everybody in my group were disappointed with their orders.
To top this off some of the staff were rather unpleasant. At one point I went to the bar to order a drink. There were two staff but one was clearly occupied and not free to serve me. When he walked away, the other came over to me and said 'he's serving too you know, you should have got him to serve you', in a very sharp, rude, impatient tone. I replied that I hadn't been asked to order so of course I couldn't of given my order.
When we went to pay before leaving, a young lady gave us our bill and told us how much it would be with and without a tip. My partner told her we don't wish to leave a tip, and the woman rolled her eyes. After such a bad service and then being scorned at for not leaving a tip is terribly ironic and plain rude.
I won't be eating there again. It's one of those gastro pubs that is trying to pass of as something it isn't. I'd only recommend for drinks.
