Some new dishes powering out of the kitchen for a tasting today. Be patient, these are worth waiting for

User

Our Fish & Chips.... Just saying!

User

It’s raining and miserable but our mixed roast is definitely worth dragging your ass off the couch for, and will give you the comfort you need as Autumn approaches. Walk-in tables available.

User

As the seasons change so do our dishes. This starter is currently blowing our minds - curried cauliflower, tempura chic peas, chutney, raita and flatbread. Swing by and try it, it’s delicious!

User

A new starter of crispy pigs head, some Gribiche and Granny Smith. Spanking!

User

You don’t need to have a hangover to have this banging Bloody Mary! But if you happen to have one it will sort you right out.....

Pretty, beetrooty and goats curdy....

This was seriously one of the best roasts I've ever had. It was DELICIOUS! We walked in on the offchance that there would be a table, and the staff were incredibly helpful. They rushed us through when they realised that we were in a hurry. The ONLY comment that I could make is that there could have been more gravy.

But thanks guys, what a lovely meal!

User

This place is awesome! Love it here! And the staff are fabulous too! A good selection of ales, lager, wine & spirits and the food is divine! We can't wait to return! G xox

User

Stopped in for a light lunch, I had the burrata and tomato salad (w/ pesto) as well as a scotch egg both were incredible. I also had a Sauvignon blanc that was lovely! The staff was helpful and friendly I highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood!

User

My first visit to this excellent bar. A sunny afternoon and a perfect rest place. The interior is a delight - neat and clean and an atmosphere so calm. Service from the very friendly staff was superb and it left me wanting to linger. You must go.

User

Lovely place! It is as good as the interior looks like. Very nice and decent. Amazing beers and wines. We had a very tasteful Sunday roast. Nice service

User

It was fantastic there yesterday - 29th March 2018. I ordered 1 starter, Black pudding croquet (exceptional) and a side dish of roasted honey Parsnips. What a compliment to the starter. I wanted to know which wine to choose, Jordy was pleased to tell me which to order after I described what type of wines I like. She was perfect with her choice for me, so much so, that I had to order a second carafe as an excuse to eat desert - chocolate ganache, Raspberry sauce and crumble. I loved it all, I will be back next time I’m in the area for sure. 10/10 food wine and service.

User

Great food, good service! Had a lovely meal there! Read another review about quality of the steak. We had a perfectly good steak (medium rare, like we asked) and cod with a delicious sauce/gravy. Dessert was also wonderful!

User

Food was exceptional, great service, lovely atmosphere - a total hidden gem, well worth a visit

User

First visit great. Smoked muscles with Cullen skink delicious, rabbit pie with crayfish perfect for a chilly night. Staff friendly and efficient (and recommended those dishes after my questions) only little criticism, cauliflower slightly under cooked. With go back 100%

User

Fantastic. Contemporary menu choices and great quality, good presentation, generous portions (so beware over ordering), helpful and friendly service. My only suggestion is to beware that every roast lunch comes with a huge yorkshire pudding. Had we known we would have ordered without the pud. However, highly recommended - and therefore - you need to book.

User

Excellent service, all staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious I had smoked salmon pate and sirloin steak. It was amazing. I 100% recommend this place if you are visiting London.

User

Amazing service and really went the extra mile to make it special! Best roast in the city, would recommend to anyone!

User

Always such great service when I'm there. We were served by Kiera (I've probably spelt that wrong) yesterday and she was an absolute dream - thank you!

User

Rock solid, not brilliant, but very very good. Menu is ambitious, in particular the Sunday roast terrific, but rendered in a unique way (cabbage, beef fat fried potatoes, etc) that I liked but might frustrate traditional expectations. One surprise was the scotch egg... amazing!! Lovely service, good wine and beer selection.

User

Loved every bit of my Sunday roast! The beef was soft and tender and the Yorkshire pudding was crisp and fluffy! Service was mediocre tho.

User

Food waa easily a 5... best roast I've had in the area, service however wasn't great, but seemed understaffed. Our waitress seemed genuinely uninterested in us and failed to be enthused about any of the dishes. It took us so long to pay that we considered walking out. But you can't fault the food and the initial welcome was good.

User

Enjoyed a recent outing to this place for dinner with some overseas friends. The food was excellent, but the service could have been a bit stronger. We would go back if we're in the area. It's a nice nouveau British menu, done very well.

User

The beef was a meagre portion and not very hot. Yorkshire was missing from my plate when it arrived it they soon brought one out. The Bloody Mary starter

Was fantastic! Not much choice of puds but the sticky toffee pud was ok.

User

So disappointed at the roasts for the 3rd week in a row... Been coming here for 2 years. This place used to knock out top Sunday roast dinners, great cuts of meat and good service. Suddenly they've taken to deep frying potatoes instead of roasting them. The chef has lost his love for food I think.
