Such a shame this gym is closing down. Friendly staff and welcomes all ages and sizes.

The gym is great although variable staff. Unfortunately will be closing down at the end of September

Amazing atmosphere. Loads of different machines, classes, nice swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Very friendly staff that help you in any way they can

This place must have been a cool Place when he was new and nowadays is run down and in particular it's not well kept. The changing rooms are extremely dirty and it is possible that the rest of the gym is also very dirty. Unfortunately it's the only place in the area that has got a pool otherwise this place will not have a reason to exist

Update to review - it seems the influence of the new ownership is starting to pinch. Draconian application of 'rules' are now the order of the day. I just saw an old guy chucked out of the pool for doing laps in the wrong kind of goggles - I then got lectured for swimming with very discreet speedo resistance gloves - Don't expect customer service (unless you consider being 'tolerated' as service) or any kind of rational approach - in fact there seems to be a new level of management which is both upsetting the long term staff AND the long term clients. Guess it won't be long before both leave at this rate. Fingers crossed the new owners offload it quickly - as I hear they are hoping to...

I've left my old review below to show the transition.

I've been a member here for a long time and seen 3 major regime changes and rebrands. Bottom line is that it's reasonably cheap (compared to Virgin Active, High Street Kensington for example), has clean and reasonably well maintained facilities (Steam room seems to fluctuate but sauna and pool normally clean and working). If you just want a place where you turn up regularly, do your thing, and bail - it works well. I've never used any of their classes or fitness instructors but everyone seems to like them so no complaints there. I have heard some complaints that it has gone down hill since recently in terms of customer service and issues with payment/admin but to be honest, it feels just the same to me.

It's a simple, clean gym for a reasonable price and if you live in the area, it's the best you've got around here. They run offers all the time with free trials etc.. so can see for yourself at no cost most of the time.
