Great choice of drink but food very pricey. Nice for a one off treat. Service was friendly and welcoming.

Staff and food is excellent. Always make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and the interior and furnishing is lovely.

On a very rainy weekday, my Mum and I had a very welcome fish and chip lunch, followed by a magnificent raspberry souffle. Service was friendly and polite - the standard of food definitely a cut above the usual pub grub!

The Punch Bowl offers an authentic Cumbrian pub experience with the best quality food in miles and exceptionally friendly staff. Well worth a visit for anyone in the area!

So welcoming and cosy. Food is great. Can have banter with most of the staff. Rooms are luxurious. Wonderful views and open fires. Love it here. came 7 years ago and always wanted to return, finaly managed it. well worth it.
