What a great pub in a great setting. Spent the night in one of their rooms. Woke up looking across farm fields listening to birds singing, what a way to start the day. Will be back for sure.

We got married on Sat 5 Aug 2017 & had our Reception in the Pyewipe's New Tipi. We had the most amazing wedding day & were absolutely thrilled with everything you did for us from start to finish. All of our guests have been full of praise for you too - the Tipis, the food, the service, how smoothly & relaxed the whole day ran – everything! We are delighted we choose to have our wedding at your wonderful venue and will treasure the memories forever. The day was perfect! We cannot thank Chris & the fantastic team enough. All of your hard work is very much appreciated. Many thanks for everything & I’m sure you will see us very soon. Mr & Mrs Jones xx

Really great pub located just by the canal. Ideal stop off if you’re on a bike ride or journeying into Lincoln. Relaxing friendly atmosphere, friendly staff and a great pint of Guinness! 🍺

Also had the Beef Burger Topped with Stilton, Bacon and Red Onion Jam. Now I can honestly say, I can’t think of anywhere else where I’ve had a nicer burger! The portion was spot on, any more and I’d have needed a nap.

Looking forward to find an excuse to call in again - hopefully soon 😬

My husband and I were privileged to hold our wedding reception here in the fabulous tipis on the 1st July. We can not recommend this venue enough! Food was lovely, both main courses and evening meal. Staff are amazing and the tipis are just out of this world! We had the most perfect day and thank every single person that made our day so special! If you are looking for a wedding reception then look no further!

Me and the hubby out for a walk and a few drinks. We had the pate and the creamy mushrooms for starters . Very generous portions. Then I had the steak pie and chips which was absolutely amazing. Not a single bit of fat and Iv never had so much good quality steak, in a pub grub steak pie before . Hubby had the haddock and chips again brilliant. Can’t find a fault to be honest and I am not easily pleased . Great meal great location will definitely be back

Me and my husband recently had our wedding at the Pyewipe in the teepee’s. WOW. Every single part of it was absolutely stunning. The hog roast was delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive. Chris was fabulous. If you want a different style of wedding that’s a bit quirky, this is for you. The teepee’s were decorated beautifully and were so warm. We are overwhelmed, thank you to all of the Pyewipe team for making our day so special.

Lovely atmosphere food really good even too much at times . Friendly and polite staff .A great place to unwind and enjoy a drink and a meal . Unfortunately we are going back to Australia so look forward to the next visit.

Had a lovely overnight stay at the Pyewipe, excellent rooms with large beds, fantastic shower and soft fluffy towels. They were really clean and modern in a lovely location beside the water. The breakfast was lovely with a good choice, catering for all tastes. Staff very welcoming and ready to please. Would definitely recommend to anyone and I'm sure we'll be back next time we're down there.

A very pleasant place to stay, quiet and peaceful.

The staff are friendly and accommodating.

This is our second visit, it won't be the last.

Rooms are spacious, beds are huge, would have liked a bath after a days shopping, but the shower is adequate.

Breakfast was nice, but the chef needs to cook his eggs a bit longer, my poached egg was very undercooked, and my husbands fried egg needed longer, and we never got offered any more toast to go with the preserves .

Well worth a visit.

We have been coming to the Pyewype for quite a few years and enjoy the lovely rural setting next to the river as I'm sure is the big draw for most people, but having said that the clue is in the comment 'for quite a few years'' because over the years we have seen no changes/refurbishment to update and modernise the interior or to a lesser degree the exterior.

Unfortunately the pub is dated, dirty, and appears to have large areas which seem to be unused and mismatched, would be nice to see it have a facelift

Lovely pub hidden away lovely walks and cycle path

Food was lovely that we had .

Only thing I wasn't too happy about was that the family near to our table had there dog with them

We wasn't aware they had got there dog with them until they were about to leave when it jumped up at a member of our party .

Lovely place, not the first time I've been and won't be the last. My only objection was our meal in the restaurant, there was very little choice for children, and the service was very slow (they were not busy). I understand there are other restaurants for children to eat at, this was however a special occasion, hence why we chose it.

Rather over priced for some of the menu choices also.

Had Sunday roast, lovey fiood, great service, great place to be on a warm sunny day, major problem with wasps, to the point it’s put me off eating there outside ever, not only one round you but 4-5 at a time, and men’s toilets were awful (so my husband says) ladies were fine x

User

Fantastic location, very polite and friendly staff, the food was very good too it would have been a five star if the workman renovating the room opposite had not started sawing wood and banging about at 7.00am in the morning waking both my wife and I.

User

Lovely beer garden but lunch time food a huge let down ... ordered the gammon and literally got a piece of gammon on a plate with a few chunks of pineapple ... no chips, no peas, no garnish of any sort and all for the bargain price of £10

User

Amazing food however not so impressed with the four poster bed room a little on the basic side however clean and bed comfortable. Not happy with a £100 pre payment being taken the day before arrival and another £100 taken on arrival. Paid twice now have to wait 5 days to see if one of the payments are returned to my account!

User

Room really good, even though it's in an annex away from the main building. How ever meals ordered from the menu one was ok, but the second was not cooked. Sent back and an alternative selected and that was not cooked also. General manager Chris didn't charge us for the one meal but want very pleasant, very rude I thought, said he hadn't had any other complainants before. My husband then had to go hungry, good job we brought some snacks with us. Won't be coming back
