Lovely location, very friendly staff + well my ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. The best steak i've had, my boyfriend's seabass was also to die for. If we're ever in the area again, this will definitely be our first port of call. Thank-you

Lovely setting down by the river. I had a superb beef stroganoff and my husband enjoyed his pie.

User

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Very good experience to cook your own meal on the hot stone. Two of our party opted for the steaks which they thoroughly enjoyed cooking themselves. I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious. Good food and well priced.

Went here for our last evening of our holiday, place looked lovely. Shame about the food and service.

We placed an order, the girl who took the order told the kitchen it had gone through on separate orders (despite being ordered as one), but they still managed to send 2 meals out before the others and we had to get up and ask where the rest was after about 10 minutes. Food was served on cold plates, therefore was very cold, very quickly!

Deserts were ordered at the bar and took 20 minutes! Which is a long time considering they were clearly microwaved and effectively a ready meal!

When going to toilet and walking through the corridor which runs between staff bar entrance and kitchen the reasons for disorganisation were clear! The staff on duty were young and stood around in the kitchen chatting and laughing whilst we, and probably other's, were waiting on our orders!

This was a busy Friday evening for drinkers but not many seemed to be eating! Myself and my partner have both worked in hospitality, kitchens, bars and as waiting staff! So we know what is and isnt acceptable and we certainly won't be visiting here again. Its a shame because it could be a lovely venue.

User

Nothing like the shambles of the staff to put you off a place! Walk in tell them we've booked two rooms. They spend ages checking the table bookings saying they can't find us.

We tell them again we booked rooms not tables 5 minutes later they bring us to one room handed us the key and tried to walk out! There's 3 of us and this room is for two, his response "Oh was it? I just read the first thing on the reservation. I'll get the other key!"

User

We visited here yesterday for breakfast.. Firstly our coffees took over 25 minutes to come out which were then totally wrong!!! When we eventually got our coffees they were luke warm, the food took a long time to come out too which firstly was wrong again, I had scrambled eggs on toast with the butter rock hard on the side so to put butter on the toast I had to scrape the egg off.. My husbands English Breakfast was also luke warm..All in all not good service it seemed most of the staff did not have a clue what they were doing.
