My partner and I decided for our 2 year anniversary to go somewhere more upmarket, The Quay being the best choice in Ilfracombe for this, we were not disappointed.
The food was absolutely delicious, my partner was disappointed that the Scallops for a started had sold out, but went for the mussels instead and was more than happy as they were gorgeous!!
Definetly recommend the Fillet Steak and pan fried sea bass, both meals were amazing.
We were expecting the bill to be about £160 But were presently surprised at the £106 It came too, it was money well spent, the staff were lovely and we will definetly be returning ...... highly recommend this restaurant.

Ate early evening. Main restaurant was upstairs above the smart bar that also served food. Not sure if there is more than one section but we were lucky enough to have a window table overlooking the harbour. Pricing was low end of expensive.. 3 courses with drinks and coffee came out at £75 so a treat. All the food was superb. All well cooked and presented but not high end fancy ..we decided mid end . Dont expect big portions but we were nicely full at the end of the meal and enjoyed all the flavours. Maybe we have seen to many masterchef programs so the only fault if any was that there was no runny chocolate in the chocolate fondant but my wife still loved it. Service was excellent from start to finish. Be sure to book. Easy on line system. Will definitely return...forgot to add..have a read of the wallpaper. Very clever.

my husband and me had one of the best meals we have ever had. the whole restaurant has a special ambience. we were left with some special memories of how well the staff looked after us😘 but that's a long story. Thanks to everyone Kate Smith

Brilliant as a bar (downstairs with limited outdoor seating) but even better as a restaurant. Great atmosphere, fantastic views and friendly staff. Menu is great, good selection. Food is top quality, on the pricier side sure but it shows and taste fantastic. Visiting family insist on us going every time they're down! Good wines and cocktails. In my top 3 restaurants in the whole North Devon area.

Owned by Damion Hurst, the artist (but not my taste) who has conections in Ilfracombe. This resterant is fine but it is narrow on the wrong plane so that those at the front get the best view of the harbour. The food is great but a little over priced for what you get. The Staff are really friendly and helpful.

Amazing food, reasonably priced for the quality. Amazing views and beautiful sunset. Had the place to ourselves and staff were brilliant.

We just wanted a coffee, and almost didn't go in because it looked a bit posh for 3 cyclists. I am glad we went in. The service was friendly and high quality. We had coffee, and the coffee cake was like a dream. I'll come back some time for a meal, but if you just want a coffee you will get a great experience.
