Stayed here for a masonic ladies weekend for two nights. Very, very tired hotel that needs some serious updating and soundproofing!! You could hear the people talking in the next room. Carpets and furniture were stained, bathroom taps were totally useless and made a sound like a howling dog whenever you managed to get any water out of them. Shower scalded me and who has shower curtains anymore!! the one good point was the food, the breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice on the buffet and our evening meals for the masonic event were good but would not stay here again.

Spent four days here with gb tours.
Lovely clean room, the food was very good.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The pool is a good size and would recommend you give it a try.
Only negative would be how hot it was in the hotel.

Friendly welcome, good check in. Changed room from a double to a twin with no extra charge. Nice fresh room, clean. Very good location, parking included. Need good parking skills. Good breakfast, apart from the extremely strong tea (but we are not British😉) we will be back!

Parking was a nightmare, some staff were abrupt and I am being polite using abrupt. The rooms were tidy but needed work. We were woken up by the sound of bike locks being cut through and were the only people to alert the hotel to this. I was up until 4.30 helping the one 20 year old member of staff (who was great) chase off the thieves with the aid of my wife shouting at them out of the window. Needless to say we had very little sleep after that. We were overcharged for breakfast and had to query the fact. All in all not somewhere we would stay again.

A bit pricey, old furniture, good location, clean rooms

This hotel gets it's business from clever photography and an ok price.

The decor is extremely outdated, tatty and clearly becoming harder to keep clean.

The room was boiling and the noise carried from the road and reception. The walls were thin.

Our mattress felt like when you lay on a trampoline, when someone else is bouncing!

The little fridge in the room was a nice touch. The TV was ok.

The spa again is shabby and tiny! We were annoyed to find the jaccuzi and steam room were ooo and had been for a while - this should be notified at the time of booking.

Parking at the front is ok as it's free but there's not enough so our car (and two others) were blocked in all night.

Staff were nice.

The breakfast was amazing as was the breakfast room (shame the rest of the hotel let it down).

The rooms were quite spacious. The carpets and wallpapers need updating. The lift was scary to use. Decent spa. Quite small but it's enough for the number of guests there were in the hotel. The parking is right in front of the hotel and included in the price so that's a plus. One thing, thought, we came back to the hotel at midnight and had to wait 20 minutes for the night porter to let us in and while we were walking through the door he let go off of them and they hit us... Beware of that guy!!!! (5ft8, dark hair, chubby/fat)

The carpet and wallpaper were not from this century, which wouldn't usually bother me if other things were up to scratch.
Shower head was level with my chest at its highest, no aircon and the room was boiling. Weren't told that the front door was locked at night and had to wait ten minutes to be let back in while they found the keys.
The kettle only worked if multiple sockets were on which was bizarre.
On the positive side the lady that checked us out at the end was lovely and it wasn't expensive
