Lovely family friendly country pub in beautiful setting! Outdoor play area for the children! Service was excellent and food amazing! Will definitely be returning!

Had two meals here, buffet on Thursday and sit-down dinner on Friday.

From the minute we walked in the door the staff were so welcoming � Food was amazing and the service second to none. Thank you all so much, if there is an example of how a pub should be run, this is it !! � Well done to you all, and we shall most definitely be back !! �

Went for dinner Sunday afternoon, food was excellent, service was great with a smile, only issue we had was that one man decided to walk around without a shirt on, not a sort of thing I wanted to see whilst enjoyimg my food, should have shirt policy in the bar and restaurants, didn’t put me off my food, but no one wants to see someone spottyback and big belly, Thankyou very much

Nice pub. The refurbishment has brightened the place up without destroying its old world charm. Small selection of proper beers (that I could see; might have been more on another bar) and although we didn't eat there, plenty of people were.

Lovely cosy pub. Sunday roast delicious but staff a little off their game. Wrong meals meant for another table, rose wine instead of white and we had to ask about our mains after waiting 30 mins after our starters were cleared. Just a bad day??

Wouldn't waste my time or money again! Over priced food, rude staff (apart from one lovely lady) Waiting over an hour for a roast, over half an hour for drinks, food came with bits missing! To say the waitress had a chip on her shoulder would be an UNDERSTATEMENT! She looked down on us like total rubbish! It was literally one thing after another and if it wasn't for the one lovely young lady then I would of walked out, she should teach the rest of them including the manager bloke some customer service skills!

We were looking for a nice Sunday lunch and came across the pub which has obviously had a major refurb since we were last there 5+ yrs ago. They seated us without a reservation which was good as it was busy but the female host and waiting staff were less than warm. The menu was pretty standard pub grub and I ordered the onion and blue cheese tart (which was served with Roast Trimmings) for £12.50 and hubby went for a burger and chips. Food took about 20 mins to arrive and although they got his order wrong this was replaced within 5 minutes. My tart was actually a piece of anaemic puff pastry with a pile of caramelised onions and a bit of Stilton crumbled over top, the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were dry and cold (probably as plates were cold) and all the vegetables were served "buttered" which actually just tasted greasy. No seasoning/herbs were used and I wasn't offered a gravy. Partner said his burger was ok but the chips were also dry and cold so he left them. All in all, it was very disappointing and despite only eating 2 bites of my tart I was not offered a refund/reduction on bill. When I told waitress that this wasn't a tart, she stared at me completely vacantly. To be honest I was surprised it was so busy as this was the poorest pub food we've had for a long time and can only assume that the patrons are regulars who don't really know much better (it was pretty TOWIE in there!). We will definitely not be going back and have had better meals in Wetherspoons at considerably less cost - £40 odd for two poor main meals and 3 soft drinks. Would NOT recommend.

We was in to eat at 330 didn't get out till 620. The food took so long to come their was not enough staff they had a 8th party and everybody else had to wait. It was my first time and my last. We had two children with us it's just not good enough.

Staff so rude, attitude and need to go on some staff training courses I think. Went with family and friends to celebrate a birthday and not only was most of the group insulted but there was members of staff sniffing drinks of 14 year olds to see if there was alcohol when clearly there was not. One member of staff was so rude she had to be pulled to the side so my brother could ask her politely to speak to people in a better tone. The food was over 40 mins late to come out, there was no please thank you at the bar and I'm disgusted and will be telling all my friends not to go here, if you are thinking of going please think again terrible service and as we was walking out the door we could hear the staff "slagging " us off.

My first visit and my last the service was poor ,table booked for 16-00 hrs seated at 16-45 hrs
