Friday 8.30 karaoke with Tall Sounds, Saturday evening 8.30 The DT's, Sunday afternoon is a 1st visit to The Railway from James Wills with his acoustic set at 4.00pm and the regular "Buzzer" quiz at 8.30 hosted by yours truly. Bank holiday Monday we will see Citizen Smith here at 4.00 (you might notice a slight Scottish theme to the afternoon). Being the 1st Monday of the month Jam Night will be on from 8 (notice the slightly earlier time as it's bank holiday) with Dani, Jamie and Rod. See you here!

It's Easter so we have a massive weekend of entertainment for you. It all kicks off in the traditional Railway way with Karaoke from 8.30 Friday night hosted by yours truly. Saturday brings us Something about Mary from 8.30 then Spiny Norman day.....i mean Easter Sunday with Spiny Norman from 4.00pm ish. Sometime after Spiny have finished we have the Easter draw (see attached photo) and the quiz. For those who fancy a chilled out bank holiday Monday we have I am the Bear from 4.00pm.

User

I Am The Bear is Billy Brown (Jaks Caravan and The Mutiny Ball) playing an acoustic punk set of mostly original numbers but with a few covers with the Billy Brown twist. Ideal for a chilled out bank holiday Monday afternoon

User

It's Easter Sunday so...it's Spiny Norman Day. From 4.00pm approx (very approx) till they finish and may be 10 mins more.

User

It's the 3rd Monday of the month today so that means Open Mic at The Railway Brew House from 8.30

User

This note was passed to our band last night from a couple visiting The Railway. Says it all! They actually didn't leave in the end but came back for the rest of the band. The band??? Klassika. (Oh, and I had some humbugs... that will mean something to other landlords)

User

Back by popular demand, one of Surrey's premier blues & R'n'B bands "The Bluescasters" arrive at The Railway Inn for a one off show. Book your seat early, this is a band not to be missed.

User

There is a band in there somewhere! Souls of Misfortune have just started

User

Unfortunately Joy Disorder have had to pull out of tonight's Dark Side of the 80's gig due to illness (we all wish Pete a speedy recovery) but the good news is that The Souls of Misfortune have agreed to do a full set for us. So.... 8.30 tonight at The Railway Brew House for a night of The Mission, The Cure, Fields of the Nephilim, Sisters of Mercy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cult, Killing Joke and The Damned

Rock for Rowcroft 2019 The Railway Brew House is pleased to announce its second charity music and beer festival “Rock for Rowcroft” which will take place over the bank holiday weekend of Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May 2019. The aim of this festival is to raise as much money as possible for Rowcroft Hospice and have a great weekend of live music. There will be NO entry fee but, there will be plenty of chance to donate to Rowcroft via collecting pots, purchase o...f food, buying of draw tickets and hopefully some Rock for Rowcroft merchandise. All the acts for the weekend are donating their time for nothing and Platform 5 (our in house micro-brewery) is working on a new limited edition beer just for the festival with a very large donation from every pint sold going into the charity pot. The 2018 Rock for Rowcroft raised just over £1,700 and with your help we are aiming to beat that total this year We have an almost full line up now and will post a provisional programme soon. Please watch this space for more details.

User

Proper old pub with good range of beers..some made on the premises at their own micro brewery. Worth a visit, just a couple of steps from Newton Abbot train station. If your visiting for the races or rugby club give it a try..

User

Old school bar

User

Lovely place. Will definitely visit again

User

I think it's the only place that let's me sing......out loud! Actually it's a fact

User

Great old proper pub, great atmosphere, I like it

User

Great friendly staff

User

Fine old style brewing house with a wide range of locally brewed beers and an equally wide range of fine old characters to go with them - especially ask for their Albertross! Hey they play some wild music too at times! Well worth the visit - don't forget to put a pint of Albertross behind the bar for the Walrus!

User

Crackin pub if u visit newton abbott. Straight of the train

User

Best real ale by far outstanding pint of albatross aka antelope

User

Beats sitting on a cold platform :)

User

A hoofing (means fab) venue. High quality ale, friendly staff with an eclectic and welcoming band of locals. If you have to wait a while for an ale.....as stated it is because the Gang are busy. It's worth it!

User

A great selection of beers, with great selection of pasties to go with the excellent beers . The staff were friendly and would recommend the place before boarding a train.

User

A friendly, extremely welcoming pub. Great happy locals and also wondering travellers from the train station all find drinking here a pleasure. Music nights are a blast and with such diversity you are sure to find a night here to enjoy.

User

Nice Pub that brews its own, can get crowded as its next to the station.

User

Good range of drinks and good atmosphere but 20 mins waiting at the bar every single time. Not helped by a 'system' of borh bar men serving the same side of the bar most if the time.
