We had a lovely meal and family get together. The Carvery was delicious. Too much choice (not a bad thing) staff were lovely but the bloke serving the Carvery was even nicer what a delightful chap. Really nice experience as I had never been! Puts the other Carvery in the area to shame.

We eat at the Rams Head a couple of times a month - if we lived nearer it would be more frequently. The staff are lovely and the food is excellent and good value for money. The Sunday carvery is the best ever. It does get busy & the table layout changes depending on the size of the bookings but the staff do their best to accommodate everyone. Definitely recommend the Rams Head.

The Sunday Carvery was fantastic. Four different roast meats plus fish, chicken portions, kebabs, steak puddings, meat pies, cheeseburgers.....onion rings, pigs in blankets, battered mushrooms.....and countless other things, as well as roast potatoes, mash, boiled new potatoes....loads of veg.....and a chocolate fountain for dessert. We really enjoyed it and you can go back as many times as you wish. All the food was freshly prepared and regularly replenished. Great quality and fabulous value for money. We will definitely be returning.

Thank you again to the staff who organised for us to have the TV in the restaurant so we could watch the England game and celebrate my fiancé's surprise 30th meal. So thoughtful and as ever the food was amazing!

Lovely place it was my first visit and wow how big are the portions!! Food was perfect and the hot stuff was hot my only complaint would be they tend to give you far too much salad maybe it's to make it look like you've got more food. ��

Just spent my birthday and Mother's day here today and it's amazing. Lovely food, lovely presentation and lots of great friendly staff on Im guessing one of your busiest days of the year! There were 3 mums in our party and we all received a huge box of chocolates which was so thoughtful. I have been before and will keep recommending you! Well done and thank you for making our family lunch an enjoyable one ��🍽 xxx

Thoroughly enjoyed my delicious steak and ale pie, with all the trimmings and was absolutely stuffed, I couldn’t finish it all!! Definitely will be coming back but for the Sunday Carvery x

Sunday lunch for partner and I. Good selection on menu, though perhaps too many choices as you don't really know where to start! The menu isn't the easiest to navigate either. But this is small criticism.



The food itself is splendid gastro pub cuisine. My partner had steak and ale pie, served in a pot, on a board with separate pots of cabbage, peas and gravy, accompanied by a basket of very 'crispy on the outside, soft on the inside' chips. The slow cooked beef in the pie was amazing. 40 min waiting time was well worth it.



I had the carvery with a good choice of two cuts of beef, gammon, pork and turkey, with good selection of veg. The chef at the pass wasn't too versed in the difference in beef cuts and the stuffing and pigs in blankets had been under the lamp a bit too long. But, again, very small criticisms here.

Bit confusing about mgr walking past and not taking the order. Then a waitress only be told another waitress take the order...but the food was really good...could not fault starters are the mains..

first time ive ever written a review...

just been for a birthday treat for my wife as we've been before and found it great..



food was still as good as remembered, however, ended up in restaurant eating with the chef and another staff member at next table having their dinner too along with the gaffer dishing out wages to other staff

...spoiled the ambience/atmosphere...

wouldnt mind but the massive lounge bar bit was almost empty...

maybe changed ownership ??

Won’t be visiting here again, was really looking forwards to it after a friend recommending, we were sat down starters went okay, mains came out and we weren’t once asked if everything was okay whilst others around us were. Then we were looking at ordering dessert but after sitting and waiting for over 20mins for someone to come and clear the table we decided to leave, staff were too busy all stood behind the bar talking. Definitely won’t be back here and will not be recommending it.

Booked a table for 10 two weeks before for a birthday get together. The table layout was awful. Talk about sardines. The only way to sit down was to ask the table behind us if the would get up and push their chair in so we could sit down. Don’t really know how we were expected to get up and down to go to carvery it was really uncomfortable. Just downright greedy trying to get too many people into a small room. Pity because the carvery is good value but won’t be going again as didn’t enjoy meal due to having to ask others to move or being ask to move whilst trying to eat meal😡😡😡

After the experience tonight of hearing people's sex lives and the rudeness of people . Me and my family where not impressed with this behaviour bearing in mind we were dining in the lounge on the balcony. We had to get up and leave with our 5 year old daughter considering this is supposed to be a family eating establishment we will not be returning .
