The Range, Ipswich

If you want a friendly customer service then definitely do not have a coffee in Dee Dee’s upstairs. Food is very poor, staff member that served us barely said two words. Not a very happy person.!

Update to this post, went to the new Range in Ipswich this weekend up by Asda in the old B and Q store. Much better and the staff in Dee Dee’s were friendly and food was basic but much better.

Just about got everything you need. Good sized car park shared with other stores. Sometimes hard to get out of though

I was shopping at The Range for 2 and a half hours until I came out of the shop at 19:30 last night. Suddenly a female staff member stopped me and said that I stole a DVD even though I did not steal it. I told her that I have put my phone in my pocket but then she said that I need to be checked. Afterwards there were no sign of any stolen items on me then unneccesarily, she told me that I am no longer allowed to go in the store again. She did not apologise to me after she misunderstood. No other stores would do this to me or to anyone else. This is the first store that this has happened to me. I am ashamed of this service!

The product and the is good however the service provided is not the best. We had to wait 15 mins before a member of staff could assist us with an item also the staff was rude when we wanted to return a product.

It's pretty useful for a wide variety of things, whether it be gardening, vehicle maintenance or an art project.

The staff are friendly and helpful.

Brilliant place to find cheap items for your home. Also good for present shopping.

It has great items for the house at reasonable prices. However, I've now had more than one occasion where I've felt the customer service is rather poor, unprofessional and just in general not kind,not welcoming . I requested support from one lady today in the curtains section and I felt that she either was not interested or just rushing me over. I have worked for over 15 years for one of the biggest international British Companies (BritishAirways) and I can say if myself or any of my colleagues ever disregarded a customer request for support or brushed it off it would go against company values.
From both personal experiences and witnessing staff interaction with customers I feel their attitude differs whether they're dealing with a English or a foreigner customer . In a multi cultural society and in a typical customer service job in my opinion it is imperative that this company not only trains their staff in diversity cultures but also embraces it on their recruitment.

Good shop with great items. However, staff members can be rude, unprofessional and not knowledgeable enough. (one pumped against me not saying excuse me, sorry or anything like it, it was more like saying get out of my way).
Car park is a nightmare and customer service needs to be improved urgently!!
