Proud partner: And the very reason that small, local businesses should be respected and supported:
People don’t all have the same work ethics. We were let down by chef after chef to cover our holiday.

I dare you to find a more committed person to their business, customers and family than this man. Bloody love him. Please understand the difference between large public corporations and small family businesses.
Please remember this when you forget to cancel that table, pitch up late or say all’s ok when your server asks you if everything’s ok and you hold back. It’s important to give feedback at the time you’re asked so we can make it right. We are fully committed to customer service.
Just imagine our daughter waking up and asking “where’s Daddy” in the first day of her holiday.

Charlotte is soon to start rehearsals for an exciting new show soon to announced. Charlotte is delighted to be back at her local pub. She will be singing a variety of R&B, soul, pop and jazz tunes! It’s a funny time of year. Lots of people away, sometimes too hot to feel hungry, entertaining friends.

We are sad to report that we were burgled last night. Forensics are on site and so we won’t be open for lunch today. Thank you for your understanding. We will be up and running by 5pm at the latest.

We went to the Red Cow for my birthday dinner and had delicious ribeye steaks which included a free bottle of wine.

Would also recommend the beers.

We travel about 50 miles from North London to visit this pub. Very friendly staff and locals. Great looking pub inside and out with a very relaxing atmosphere.

User

Visited for my dad's birthday meal with the family on sunday 6th. As usual the food was superb and the service was fantastic. Thanks

Travelling back to Sussex after a few days up north we left the motorway and found this lovely old pub to stop for Sunday lunch we were made to feel most welcome, would highly recommend it

The staff at The Red Cow were so welcoming and accommodating from the moment we walked in the door! We are vegan and the chef and waitress were amazing, making sure that we were really happy with our meals... which were reasonably priced and delicious! Thank you so much. If I'm ever in Chrishall again I know where I'll be eating!

User

Stopped in for lunch and a pint (well, two actually!), and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Service was great - Toby was quick to greet and show me around, people were very friendly even to a Yank (I'm an American who was driving around visiting former RAF bases in the area), the fish & chips was bang on, and the house ale was brilliant. If you are looking for a quintessential pub experience, this is it. Cheers!

User

Not often we like a pub enough to go back but this is fast becoming our all time favourite!

User

My first foray into the pub since I moved to the village in April. I'll definitely be going in more. Had my Birthday meal in there last Friday and I wasn't disappointed. The ambience was friendly and welcoming and the staff could not have been better. The food was excellent, very good value for money and superb quality. All in all, a great evening out. Thank you Red Cow.

User

Lovely cosy atmosphere, friendly and courteous staff ( just the right level of attentiveness) and delicious food, served with attention to presentation but totally unpretentiously. Brilliant value for money. I recommend this place unreservedly.

Service was brilliant . Managed to share some pudding even though we were full and the crumble was amazing .. Very well done The Red Cow at Chrishall .

User

Delicious food and a lovely relaxing atmosphere! I recommend the apple crumble. Tucked away country pub with exposed beams and floorboards and a roaring fire. Staff friendly and attentive without being intrusive! Will be visiting again.

User

Called in on the off chance today as we were passing, saw the brown sign, and needed lunch. What a good move! Lovely oldie worldie place, friendly guy behind the bar, and yummy food. We both had confit duck, which was so delicious, it actually stopped us talking! We will definitely be back!

User

Called in at lunchtime after dropping my daughter at the war museum after seeing the sign on the main road. A warm welcome, good well kept real ale, and fabulous food! I loved it! A bit off the beaten track but well worth taking the time to seek out. The pub itself is proper picture postcard stuff too. Already planning the next trip down to the War Museum with my wife and son, just so I have an excuse to call in again.

User
