Good prices nice decor and atmosphere

A nice space with a good selection of drinks. Also provides accommodation. Toilets are up stairs unless you are disabled. Only gripe is slow service on occasion but the food and drink is recommended.

Visited early morning for breakfast. Had my usual smashed avocado bagel slightly disappointed with it this time. Bagel seemed past it's best. Plenty of seating, staff welcoming.

Cheap drinks but service isn't great when your waiting at the bar. Seems to be blind spots where the staff miss and serve people who just walk up instead of people waiting for over 10 mins. Has happened on more than one occasion

Nice enough place, decent quality drinks, average food.

Service very poor when I've been in. Staff serve whoever is closest to them. Ordered food and the lady was very rude and not interested. Rolling eyes with every question, being sarcastic and couldn't be any more unhelpful if she tried.

Always good selection of well kept beer. Can be very busy and noisy at the weekends but fine other nights and lunchtime. Recently refurbished. Wetherspoons so usual menu.

Stayed over at the Red Lion for an annual get together with friends and will definitely be going back! Rooms were fantastic, very clean with comfortable beds, local nightlife almost on the doorstep and the benefits of a Wetherspoons pub for food and drinks downstairs. Highly recommend!

Tuesday was steak day.... I had a lrg mixed grill and a pint of guest ale. The three other members of our party had steaks all four meals and drinks were lovely. And the pub itself is very tastefully decorated. With nice seating areas both inside and out.

Good food. Nice smoking area. Plenty of cider

Good service and good quality food

Enjoy visiting nearly every weekend for brunch with the family. Food is always great and very prompt. This place has a lovely atmosphere and being right in the town center makes it a great central meeting point.

Been going to this pub for over 30 years. Unfortunately now it is very difficult to get served at the bar when ordering food or drink. Never enough staff. The food could be a lot better.
