What an absolutely superb meal we’ve just had for our anniversary. The Prawn skewers to start were absolutely delicious! The 10oz rump steak for main was just amazing quality and cooked to perfection. Not cheap but highly recommended for good quality food with very good service.

Very good service and good pub food - also dog friendly which is a big bonus!

Such a beautiful place, always warm and welcoming, the staff are all lovely, and I love to see the dogs in the outside gardens. We pop in for Sunday lunch every now and again, today we had the roast beef and it was perfect, tender meat, perfect Yorkshire pud and roasties and great gravy, thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend, they always use seasonal and local produce where they can and you can tell how great the quality is

Service! Quality! Value! Setting! Absolutely spot on! Busy Sunday afternoon served within minutes at the bar for a drink then we ordered food and it came out in no time at all. The food was well cooked, I had the chicken burger it was succulent and juicy. Plenty of staff and all spot on. Well done to all.

Popped in on the way home and had a lovely meal with super service and a smile. Will be going again very soon. Thank you.

Had a lovely meal with friends this week, pub wasnt too busy and we were served fairly promptly with just a little wait for mains. Food was excellent as usual, the fish & chips portion and the small rib portion were quite large but were eaten with gusto; my swordfish was just right and delicious. Friendly service by young studenty chap and tattoo'd foreign chap (sorry we didnt catch your names!) was attentive. A great place for a relaxed meal with great food. Not yet been in the garden due to adverse weather conditions each time I have visited but its on my list!

Had a lovely meal in the garden, served very quickly considering we were walk-ins on Mothers' Day at lunch time. Our 6 year old loved the fish & chips, it was a very generous portion. Beautiful pub with great outdoor space, perfect on a sunny day. Thank you.

Celebrated my birthday here yesterday and had the Lemon Sole. I cannot recommend it enough! Really beautiful meal. Great atmosphere, good selection of drinks, friendly helpful staff and a great location. We love this place and come back time and again. Thank you for making my birthday memorable.

Celebrated my birthday at the Red Lion, Hunningham with my wife. The car park was full so we parked in their very large overflow car park. Enjoyed the walk up to the pub. The setting is stunning next to the river Leam. Beautiful pub. Beautiful gardens with plenty of spacious area to sit and enjoy the scenery. We had a few drinks in the garden and then took our 2 dogs, in the pub. Everyone was very friendly and all the staff were very helpful. We had four courses and drinks. Stayed until closing time. Had a thoroughly great evening. We were particularly impressed by the service which was outstanding for a busy pub. Can't wait to go again as Richard and his team even saved us our favourite table. Well done guys. Shame the score is only out of 5 as you deserve more.

A great pub in a beautiful setting. Richard, since in charge, has been providing great quality of service and I love going there either with family, friends or for a working meeting.

We went as a family of five to watch fireworks. All well run and organised. Fabulous bonfire and amazing fireworks. Thought £2 for children's rides a bit steep especially as we have three and £7 for a burger outside a tad expensive. But we went I side and had a drink, we will go back and try restaurant just the two of us x

Had Sunday lunch which was very nice, great food and service, only down fall is we had to watch the owner of 2 dogs who were sat next to us feeding their dogs off their plates and ice cream off the spoons, now I don't mind dogs especially with it being in the countryside but surely there should be a designated area in the pub for them to be seated, don't really expect to have to look at 2 grovelling dogs whilst having my Sunday lunch.

We booked a Sunday Lunch well in advance. We arrived early and had a drink in the garden. As always the setting is faultless. We sat down at 1:25 and ordered a drink and gave our order at 1:40ish.. unfortunately our meal didn't arrive until nearly 3pm. The meal was great. Very good.

My suggestion is when you book a table order your meal then. Arrive early to let them know you've arrived and go and enjoy the garden. Year on year the wait for good kills wht should be a great pub

A lovely setting for a drink, especially in nice weather. However, we planned on eating too (the website states food served until 9pm) but when we asked for menus at 8.20pm we were told “no, we’re not serving”. Only for then at just before 9pm we saw a couple being served food! When we questioned this at the bar, we were abruptly told “we have no food left in the kitchen”. Really? Customer service & the food arrangements need sorting out before we return.

Over an hour of waiting and still no food! Don't bother if you're hungry. Lots of waiters but no one can give you an idea of how long. It was recommended to us, won't bother again. Had to have our money back in the end. We were eventually told at least another half hour wait on top of the hour! Ridiculous. Stop taking orders if you can't cope with them.
