Today marks a sad day for Red Olive, with our fantastic Comis Chef, Kat Harris, leaving us after 4 years!
Kat joined Red Olive in 2014 as an apprentice studying at Buxton College. After completing her apprenticeship with a level three in Professional Cookery and receiving student of the year, we would have been silly to let her go!
We offered Kat a job as our Comis Chef, specialising in the pastry section in which she excelled! Kat has now secured a place at Birmingham Unive...rsity studying Food Innovation and Development starting from September. For the next few months Kat plans to join the dark side (front of house) to gain experience in all areas of hospitality and catering.
We are so sad to say “good-bye” to Kat, as she has been such a valuable member of the team and has become part of the Red Olive furniture. But, we are also so excited for her future and know whatever she does, she will do brilliantly.

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to Charlie and the team! Our brief wasn't the most straight forward.....British wedding with a Southern African twist. You nailed it! The food was delicious, the service friendly, super efficient, and nothing was too much to ask. The day before was also fun and so laid back. Exactly what we wanted before our big day!



We can't thank you enough!

We approached Red Olive, after the caterers we had initially chosen for our wedding, had let us down 6 months before the big day. Luckily, as it was just at the beginning of the wedding season, Red Olive managed to squeeze us in. In our initial meeting which took around an hour and a half, Charlie had gone through everything that took our other choice almost a year to go through! We were amazed at the professional standard and attention to detail he went through with us. As soon as we left after that meeting, we knew that our wedding catering was in good hands. With only 6 months to go, we met Cat and the team, who helped us plan our menu with tastings and lots of advice and emails. With every email I sent over, the reply was always speedy, friendly and efficient, even when I had the smallest of questions, these were always welcomed. When Cat and the team came to set up the tipi’s the day before the wedding, she went out of her way to help me arrange the tables and organise my cake etc, which looked fabulous. On the day, the team looked professional and were polite, and did a brilliant job. Our guests were blown away by the food! As were we, although my nerves wouldn’t let me eat as much as I wanted to :( After going through all the stress with a previous caterer, I am so happy it fell through, as I know our wedding day wouldn’t have gone so smoothly, as well as having some of the yummiest food we have had! Thankyou Red Olive! X

The red olive catered for our wedding on the 26th September 2015, the whole experience we had with them was fantastic! From the taster session to the wedding its self, brilliant food everyone loved it, professional staff and so helpful and friendly we can't thank you enough for everything! Red Olive provided the catering at my wedding in April & all I can say is that my wife and I are so pleased to have made the decision to use Charlie and his team of exemplary staff. From the tasting day (we sat in the Red Olive kitchen, with Charlie and his head chef) where we planned and perfected the courses together - we wanted cerviche as our starter which Red Olive hadn't done before but we're more than willing to go along with us!

The food was, as expected, outstanding. What made Red Olive stand out on the day was the attention to detail of EVERYONE.

Would we recommend Red Olive? Absolutely. If they are still going when my kids get married, we'll probably choose them! 👍🏻

Red Olive are an outstanding company providing great food and excellent customer service! We had a poor experience with another caterer who we had initially booked for our wedding, and after cancelling this booking, Red Olive saved the day! They organised everything for us including the running of the bar, removing the waste, cooking and serving outstanding food, laying our tables and providing linen and cutlery etc, staffing etc....the list could go on! They really do go above and beyond for their clients and nothing is too much work, they also respond to emails quickly and properly which is very important for the bride when planning a wedding, their attention to detail is bang on! Their open day to taste their food etc is also great. Myself and all our guests were so impressed with their food and service on our special day. Thank you so much, Mr and Mrs Sharman X

From the first meeting to the final correspondence you will struggle to find a more friendly, helpful and professional team than those at Red Olive. I am in the catering business and it is a real pleasure to come across people in the hospitality business that do not settle for mediocrity. Yesterday at the round house for the Intu Awards this company showed exactly how it should be done. Fabulous !!!!!!!
