We held a charity breakfast this morning, all the turnover from it will he donated to Heart of Kent hospice. We raised £167.20. Thank you to everyone who supported this event.

The staff here are lovely, always happy and friendly. We eat here every couple of weeks when we go for the quiz and the food is really good, we have never had a bad meal.

The food here is always well cooked. You can clearly see all the ingredients are fresh. One of the best places to eat in Maidstone. The owner and the staff are warm, friendly and welcoming, would highly recommend a visit here.

Really lovely food! A great choice on the menu and food nice and hot. Friendly staff and good pub if you just want a drink also.

Lovely not been there in ages and was so happy as I'm on SlimmingWorld the slizzer with steak and oyster sauce with rice is all on plan so happy I can go somewhere and eat what I'm aloud to x service was good too only complaint no toilet roll lol x

I would like to say a massive thank you to The Red Start for some great food we had at my daughters birthday party. The staff were great and the atmosphere was fab. We ordered a buffet and there was much food and everyone enjoyed it. I am looking forward to having another party there

First time we came today we had 4 adults and 5 children with us, the waitress/staff was very accommodating, good play area but best of all the food was well good a proper nice pub with the option of a lunchtime menu (and normal menu) including baguettes jacket potatoes etc will defo return

Fantastic lunch yet again at this excellent pub, never had a bad meal, huge portions, hubby can never manage a desert! Staff are brilliant and very friendly, we'll be back. Keep up the good work guys and gals ������

Delicious roast lamb here today, with all the trimmings. Followed by scrummy sticky toffee pudding and custard. Friendly staff, attentive but not overbearing. Quick service. Good portion size. Great children’s menu. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. We will come back again.

A friend's birthday lunch at The Redstart went extremely well. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly. The food was very good and was enjoyed by all. I would highly recommend The Redstart, Child-friendly too.

Food was nice. But portion size was small. And had to wait ages for food. It was busy though. Service from staff was friendly. Not a bad place. Just could do with more than 3 potatoes with my dinner. And the puddings were small.

I ate here last year for the first time and sorry to say it was absolutely terrible, I wouldn't feed it to my dog!! The beef was like the meat from a microwave meal and the veg was like baby food!!!! Money back and wouldn't go again!!!!
