The Riverside Inn, situated at the bottom of Cheddar Gorge is ideally situated less than half a mile from the village centre. Huw and Jo took over the pub in 2001 and opened the pub after a 3 month refurbishment. The pub has changed a lot over the last ten years barely recognisable against the pub you see today.

Here at The Riverside Inn we have done our best to offer something for everyone and the pub is laid out as follows.

Sports Bar

Situated on the right hand side of the pub is our sports bar. With a dart board, three 40" TV's and two sky boxes. We aim to show as much live sport as we can including simultaneous football matches feel free to call us in advance to request viewing of certain games. When there isn't sport on Sky sports News and Sky News play throughout the day. We also provide a Jukebox which is updated on a weekly basis offering you the best range of music possible.

Lounge Bar

Found across from the sports bar is our lounge bar that leads round to the restaurant. In the lounge bar we have tried to offer a mix of seating and eating options. With sofas and low chairs along the windows for those who want a quiet drink with friends, or to sip a pint while watching the world go bye. Or for the students, businessmen and women pull up a seat at the tables forget the stress of work and enjoy a bit of time in a nice relaxed atmosphere and don't forget the free WIFI.

Restaurant /Conservatory

The Restaurant Conservatory located at the back of the pub also doubles up as a function room. Generally our restaurant is set for 70 with the capabilities of 90-100 seated with notice. Having the choice of the restaurant in the shade or the conservatory we hope to cater your dining experience with us to your needs.
The area is also used by a number of groups from some of our local care homes, to a local art class twice a week. We are always looking to provide new services at The Riverside Inn and firmly believe the best way to develop our business is through the feedback of our customers. So if you are thinking about or have come for a meal and believe it could of been better please don't hesitate to tell us.

Beer Garden

Our spacious beer garden with 40 + tables is open all year round. We offer a large wooden adventure play area for the children fenced in and in view from our restaurant and decking areas so you can sit back and relax knowing that your children are in sight. As the name suggests we have a river that forks to run through and behind our garden. With tables between the two rivers you can enjoy a drink in the sun with the sound of the water flowing down stream.
We also have a large patio with heaters and shelter for those who smoke or just wish to sit outside.

Meeting Room

Our newly developed meeting room offers a private environment for any clubs or groups to have meetings discussions in privacy away from the general hustle and bustle of the pub. On request we have coffee and tea facilities and as fore mentioned we can if you would like serve food to you meaning you don't have to leave the room. With the white washed walls you can easily use a projector for displays or power-points as-well as the overhead lighting for viewing on table items. Just like with the rest of the pub we want everything to be as good as it can be and would again welcome any feedback you might have after using the facility.
