The interior doesn't have as much character as I expected, but it was *very* busy when I visited and full of atmosphere, and a great selection of beers

This pub often has some great music and a good environment for listening to it. The drinks are quite tasty and it's a good place to go for sitting down for some good chats with your friends.

Popped in for coffee and cake (£3!!), stayed for a beer, will return for food...
Comfortable, welcoming, charming- this includes Liam the manager- there are seats and tables to suit everyone in the spacious bar, with more upstairs, & the windows are Perfect for people watching. . .

Brilliant. Great atmosphere. My friend had the biggest nicest piece of cake I have seen in many a year.

The bar staff are not keen on doing their job and helping the customer whatsoever. They are limited to a T with their options and even though they are able to make cocktails such as the Bloody Mary, they are still persistent in not pleasing the customer and making them. I would recommend so many other places that are worth your money instead of this place.

This pub has just changed owners.the bar has moved and there's a lovely roaring fire.great selection of really unusual beers bottled and draught
Wine is rather expensive by the glass,but after 5pm buy 2 large glasses and get the rest of the bottle free.its not a huge pub but very cozy...

Nice pub. Good selection of ales both cask and craft

Greatly improved and rejuvenated city bar from the origional claustrophobic feel it had, simply by relocating its bar, spending some money on it, which has opened up a musicians space thats not in the entranceway/ main fire exit. Better kept and better choice affordable ales available and a nicer ambiance encouraging in, what would previously have been passing trade that wandered by the misted up windows.
