Hi everyone. We have the Hampshire tiger regiment reunion in the Rose in June today. All welcome to come along. If you or you know some one that wants to go in are armed forces itŌĆÖs a great place to come and chat to people how have been there.
No quiz tonight sorry
Worst night ever. Not only was I the only Welsh person in the pub for 6 nations England v Wales but the cheeky twat of a landlord even made me buy him I drink when Wales lost. Really not happy. Bangers and mash was pretty lush tho xxx
Wonderful friendly pub.Made welcome by all even though i am not a fegular.Does a lot for the local community and armed forces past and present.Recommend anyone to visit and try their vast range of real ales and ciders.
What a brilliant Venue, Landlord so accomodating to us (J'uke-box band ) and great that he wanted us to play on his Motor Neurone Disease Charity.
It was a great Day, Ale Tent, Barbecue Music, Morris Dancers, B
We enjoyed the day too it was great.
Must be a really good local.
We held my dad's 90th birthday party here, the buffet was fantastic excellent value for money, we were looked after really well, the staff were brilliant, they decorated the hall for us. I would like to say a big thank you especially to Paul.
The best pub in Portsmouth. Family friendly, good local pub, a happy place to be
My ŌĆślocalŌĆÖ on match days. A real traditional Pompey pub that is welcoming and friendly. Good selection of beers , ciders and largers. A Large garden for families which is a rarity these days and a first class landlord and landlady, what more do you need? Well done Caz and Paul.
My local pub. Lovely family pub. The biggest pub garden in Portsmouth. Good beers, friendly landlord and landlady and the barstaff are great too. A nice place to be.
Lovely family run pub, with great venue & always something going on, love there garden in the summer all round top pub ’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į
Lovely dog friendly traditional pub. Always friendly and great selection of drinks
Just thought I'd write a review of this excellent Pub. A Gem. What is exceptional about this place? The people that run it, Paul and Caroline Taylor. Always welcoming and if you need their hosting skills, they always go above and beyond. The customers, mostly local, but some travel. Has a Lounge and a Public Bar, and both are okay even if you are a lone female. A rarity these days. A lovely community spirit about the place. Not clicky either. Amazing Real Ales. Lovely Garden. You'll always make friends here. Not many places like this left now. Cherish.
Just a huge big thank you to Paul, Cas and the staff for all their help and assistance in the wedding preparations for our daughters big day, nothing was to much trouble for them, helpful, friendly, so accommodating for us. It was a wonderful days. Many thanks once again :)
Best wishes Robin and Kim
I have been going to this pub for years and it is quite simply THE BEST!
This year I have been lucky enough to have two special celebrations held in this venue, both were a surprise to me & I was overwhelmed by the effort put in to make my 50th birthday & 25th wedding anniversary times to remember for ever. The decorations, food, service & entertainment were just excellent and I will always be grateful. They treat every occasion with importance, regardless of whether you are regulars or not & you are made to feel so welcome.
I am proud to be apart of this pub community as they also host various events for charities & work tirelessly to ensure their customers are happy- going above and beyond on occasions to get people home safe, take them to hospital & just care!
Well done guys - and if my dad says "THE BEST PUB IN PORTSMOUTH" then that's what you are. ¤æŹ¤æŹ¤æŤÅ╝¤æŤÅ╝¤æŤÅ╝¤æŤÅ╝ ¤æŤÅ╝
Friendly staff and patrons. They host a wide variety of events throughout the year which cater for different clientele. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. An excellent venue.
Fantastic pub really good bunch of locals great bar staff the real ale selection is top banana and Paul and Caz are a credit to the community
Fab pub with lovely landlady and landlord, very friendly.
Brilliant 40th birthday in the marquee with an amazing BBQ. Great food, brilliant atmosphere in the pub afterwards and really looked after. Thank you Paul and Caz.
At a time when many pubs are closing The Rose in June offers exactly what you want in a pub - friendly, welcoming service from landlords for whom nothing is too much trouble, a true community spirit and a great range of drinks. The landlords refer to The Rose in June "family", and it's a real pleasure to occasionally be part of it!
As Chairman for the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment Association Southern branch I can't speak more highly of this traditional battle cruiser. We used the Rose in June as the venue for our annual Battle of Minden celebrations. Our members were welcomed with open arms. Paul Caz and Paul the owners and there staff are amazing helpful in every way and catered for all our needs From use of the massive family garden & cooking a traditional military style curry meal to helping us raise money for our charity drives and welfare by selling our regimental ale FIERCE PRIDE an Outstanding place to host any event or just pop in for a pint or two.
AMAZING is the best way to describe this pub, we have just had our sons christening party this afternoon and could not of wished for anything better!!!
Paul was so welcoming, friendly and approachable as were the rest of the staff, had a brilliant atmosphere, great place for the kids with a bouncy castle, climbing apparatus and a locked gate so they could roam free, we had so much space with use of inside and outside the marquee and the food was amazing, all in all excellent value for money!!!!!
Through the marquee being a blank canvas meant we could make it look as nautical as possible to match our theme!!!!!!
Will definitely be using here for any future events we have and highly recommending you to people!!!!
Thankyou again to Paul and all the staff at the Rose in June xxxx
