Valentine's Day is nearly here, and we've got a prize that has everything you need for your loved one, which includes a meal for 2, tickets for the theatre, bottle of bubbly, chocolates and of course a cuddly toy.
Raffle tickets are on sale now and it will be drawn on Wednesday 13th Feb.

The Rose of Mossley Music Circle
Here's something new, please feel free to share to those who you think might be interested.
We are starting a music circle for performers on Thursday 7 Feb, starting 8.00 pm in the side bar, a bit like an open mic but no mics, no standing at the front, no pressure, just singers and players getting together, taking turns around a circle - all live music, no karaoke (sorry). First and foremost thank you for everyone coming last night we had an amazing time, and a big THANK YOU to Billy Butler, Frank Carlyle and Definitely Dolly for the superb hosting and entertainment.
We received so many nominations for 2019 The Friends of the Rose of Mossley Committee had a really difficult time shortlisting the charities/good causes to pick, so much so we have done something we have never done before and we have selected 6 organisations to support and we are d...elighted to announce who they are;
CHICS Cotton St Project Love Jasmine Sefton Park Day Centre Sunflower Cancer Support Centre Thursday Club
We are also delighted to announce that we raised £10,699.28, which is phenomenal and the most we have ever rsised.
The good news doesn't stop there because with the help of Liverpool LOST Boys Scooter Club we have now got a defibrillator which one day will help to save a life - thank you Boys.
There are so many people we need to thank and we will be putting up a list of all of the heroes who supported us.
A big shout out to Rachael, Charis, Sharon, Sam and Joseph who won the Fundraisng Team of the Year and Ruth Lea for the Best Individual Fundraiser - we couldn't have done it without you.
This year is special as Mari will have ran the pub for 30 years on the 29th November so we're hoping we will smash last year's figure, but we need your help to raise money for the fab local charities for 2019.
We have got lots coming up and if you want to get involved or fundraise for us please get in touch.
Finally thank you for all of the nominations and the wonderful organisations put forward and we just wish we could have picked them all.

Dani will be joining Billy Butler (and friends) in celebrating the presentation of the monies to the 2018 charities you have helped support. Not only will we be recognising the Fundraiser/s of 2018, we will be announcing which chariti...es/good causes you have nominated to support in 2019.
2019 is a very special year for so many reasons, and we look forward to sharing with you just some of the reasons why!!!

For the charities that have been put forward for 2019, The Friends of the Rose of Mossley Committee will go through them all and match them to the broad criteria which is firstly they are local, community focused and mirror the values of the pub and committee.
Once the shortlist has been compiled we will then be in contact to have a brief chat with the shortlisted orgnanisatios and from there then select the final charities for 2019.
Thank you to everyone who has put forward a nomination and we look forward to seeing you all in the pub soon.

Dear All,
We have just posted details of the Chartiy Cheque Presentation evening (Friday 1 Feb - from 8pm) and we hope you can all make it as there will be lots of fun, espeically as we have one of the best well known much loved sons of our City, Billy Butler, hosting the event.
HOWEVER, the fun is only just starting for 2019 as we are now asking YOU to once again help us select charities and good causes that we can support this year.
... The window for nominations is small as we would like you to let us know by 6pm this coming Monday (21 Jan). All nominations will be consdidered, The Friends of the Rose of Mossley will make sure the charities put forward and selected are local, have the greatest need and mirror the values of our local community pub The Rose of Mossley.

We would like to thank all of the customers of The Rose for once again helping us raise funds for 3 local charities and good causes - Thursday Club, Memory Clinic Mossley Hill NHS Hospital & St Anthony of Padua PTA.
As well as the monies raised we would will also unveil a very special initiative that has been supported by the Liverpool Lost Boys Scooter Club.
Everyone is invited to the party to celebrate how you and the rest of our local community and local businesses helped ...us raise and smash our £10k target, not only will we announce the final total on the night but share with you how the funds will be supporting each of the good causes for the 2018 charity challenge.
We are delighted to announce that Billy Butler (and friends) is hosting the event, which will start at 8pm on Friday 1 February.

epic! best pub grub in the area and the ice creams are as big as my head! cant wait to come back next time Im in the UK!

We have been holding our monthly ladies evening here for years and always thoroughly enjoyed food, drinks, service and the ambience. We finally allowed our husbands to join us on Thursday 25th January for a special birthday of one of our ladies. What a brilliant night we all had! Thanks to Mari and all her wonderful staff. We will all be back! �� X x

The staff are great the food is excellent and the place generally speaking is a joy to sit in and have a drink

The staff and manageress do so much for charity and make people welcome when you go in for a pint I would say it is one of the best pubs in Liverpool.

Nice traditional pub. Food was lovely & really good value for money. My family have eaten there many times before & now i know why! Would definately go there again. �

Me n the sis went for lunch can recomend the sirloin steak it was done to perfection meal superb n staff excellent especially the short haired lady who served r food x

Love this pub very friendly , good music nights staff always smiling and helpful . Only pub I know were the manager is always there working along side her staff , the food is always hot and tasty . Thank you all at the Rose .

In my opinion the 🌹 is certainly one ☝️ of the best pubs you can have a pint 🍻 in the boss is the best

If carlsberg made pubs ,it would be the rose . deffo the best pub. And the staff top of the bill

Had our Christmas dinner here tonight 11 of us family and friends it was amazing great food and even cater for celiac fantastic staff tx y all so much for a good night xxxxx

Had many a great nights out in the rose with Julian Ross staff very friendly and a lovely atmosphere food good

Great pub. Plenty of room. Lots of seats and full of atmosphere. Lovely patio area outside for smokers. Very friendly staff. Great menu. We loved the food. Lots of tv's scattered around with sports on. I will definitely be back.

Fabulous food and staff. Couldn’t ask for a more welcoming and wonderful local pub

Excellent food very reasonable prices. Friendly hardworking staff. Would strongly recommend this pub it also has a lovely beer garden.

Being going to the Rose of Mossley for years food excellent. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Ran by a lovely owner Mari . Would recommend you visit if you haven't already been. Can't beat prices very reasonable.

We would highly recommend rose of Mosley had an amazing steak last night lovely friendly staff & fabulous prices �

In the Rose last night but alas no music! So had to depart for Fogartys for my Saturday night music fix! Hope this is only a blip and the music will be back next week!
