Fabulous hotel. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Plenty of facilities. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Parking was bit of a issue initially told the car park would be free, then was full and told to park in another car park, then got there was full, and told to go back to the original one. Once in, the room was bit smaller than expected, photos made out would be bigger. Electricity tripped out on pressing a switch but was resolved relatively quickly. The staff were super friendly though.

Started to frequent on a Sunday for there carvery, reasonably priced , a lovely atmosphere and the place feels like it's run on a great customer care !A lovely day out for my family!

We had a carvery & the beef was superb - just melted in your mouth! Drinks were expensive mind!

Popped in to the Royal Fortescue for afternoon tea after a long days shopping. Pleasant, attentive staff and very comfortable surroundings made the experience far nicer than if we had wedged ourselves into one of the many coffee shops in Barnstaple. I think we shall be availing ourselves of the hotel very regularly.
