We had a fabulous meal here this evening for our anniversary whilst staying at the caravan club site. The fish was one of the best ever tasted and my husbands burger was huge! The staff are lovely and very friendly. A perfect end to a great day :)

Stumbled across The Royal Oak whilst looking for a pub to have lunch at today. The staff were welcoming, the menu was varied and the food was beautiful. Such good value for money. We sat outside in the sun and despite being next to the road didn’t find the mild traffic distracting. We’ll be back again soon, thank you.

Staying nearby and had a lovely steak and ale pie, a piece cut from a large pie, the meat was very tender. We were so impressed with our dinner we booked a roast beef dinner for the Sunday. The roast beef is served at your table with all the trimmings and a sharp knife for you to carve the joint, lots of lovely veg, roast pots, Yorkshire puddings. Definitely be back

Main bar is lovely and cosy and open fire. There is also a small bar area for darts and pool. The old stables room for dining or group parties. The conservatory for dining with a garden view, beautiful on a summers day..... and a skittles alley. Never tried that .:.

Had a lovely afternoon in the garden restaurant today for family birthday lunch for 21 of us! Amazing roast dinner, great service with staff who couldn't do enough for you! Could not fault a thing!! Thank you for a great time!

Great pub, very popular. Wide choice of beers and real ales wines etc.. Excellent food, great range and variety. For Sundays they do 'carve your own' roast joint brought to the table for you to carve. Nice decor, good layout, great car parking, dog friendly, group bookings, nice staff. Well worth a visit. every time we have visited it is always busy, so it must be good.

Friendly and welcoming staff nothing was too much trouble. Such lovely freshly cooked food. We stopped on our way from a day out at Longleat.

Came down from Wales for the weekend and was looking for a pub lunch to celebrate my daughters 10th birthday after a long day at longleat, the service was great, the food was lovely, they couldn't do enough for us, would definitely recommend for families they even had games to keep the children entertained while waiting for food and a pool table, would definitely go back on our next visit 😊

Brilliant. Can fault nothing. Chips to die for and cheese fondue is to die for, so much so, we're going to hold our own fondue party over Christmas, although will now have to buy a fondue set! Thank you for a wonderful end to a wonderful day.

Well, this place has changed a little since I used to run the bars here, back in 1985-8, We had a fantastic food menu, and restaurant frequented by local businessmen from Frome & warminster, and at 1am the local Frome & Warminster CID crew...!!!! Although it was a lock in...LOL Peter & wendy owned it then, Although they would not change anything, This pub could be a fantastic place, But it lacks experience and direction, Good food though and very well priced drinks, There is Just something "missing" from here, (a Warm Welcome) perhaps...... A great Pub as a Business, But not up to it's full potential shame, and hope it does not lead to it's demise .... It brings back fantastic memories for me...Xxx good luck..X
