I think you would have to be pretty grumpy to not like this hotel
They cannot be more accommodating and rooms very well kitted out with good accessories and very comfortable furnishings
Breakfast options are plentiful
The pub menus for food are very reasonable and more importantly delicious
Parking not available to book
We found spaces in adjacent streets or overnight parking available from 7pm in car park very close to hotel
Fabulous food in newly refurbished restaurant/ bar. Good value for money and nice friendly (and helpful) staff.
Good service. Food is overpriced for what it is. Lamb Hotpot was nice but for small children as it is a very small portion. Mushroom stroganoff was extremely bland. Burger too small and limited choice of desserts. The ice cream was £2 for one tiny scoop. Creme Brûlée was the only nice dessert.
Slightly quirky hotel, good food & friendly staff. Popular, so dinner booking advised. No parking but free on-street parking nearby. Our second visit, definitely not our last. Handy for theatre.
Just had a couple of drinks, nice enough place quite tourist focused as you'd expect but a decent enough pub. Have eaten there in the past and food was decent enough too. I'd say slightly more food focused pub than a pure drinking bar but serves its purpose well.
We have been before and loved it so decided to bring our family down for a post wedding celebration. We had a large table but pre ordered most items. My half roast chicken was ok but the people who ordered Sunday lunch complained about the cabbage, the beef was too peppery and gravy watery. Service was very slow and my partner had finished his burger before my meal arrived. Don't think they can cater for such large groups even though we preordered in advance. Also there was a really miserable waiter he was very unpleasant and everyone mentioned it. However all the other staff where very nice and helpful. Would not recommend to anyone or visit again.
A beautiful, quaint ex-coach house. Very well appointed and made up. Great experience staying with them. Would recommend and likely stay again
Me and my partner had Two drinks last night barstaff were lovely and even put a lure module down when noticed we were playing Pokemon Go. :)
4 Star hotel!?!? Are you serious? Bed frame was broken, repaired with tape and missing components, and there was mold/mildew growing on the ceiling. Room was smaller than any I've ever seen, including those on cruise ships. Front desk and restaurant staff pleasant and helpful, and location was excellent, but would never stay again.
