It has potential to get back to the level it used to be at. Food was nice and the refurbishment looked nice. Staff were really friendly.....despite a lady, who I presume to be the manager, barking and snapping at them in a completely unprofessional way in front of customers all evening.

Having been closed for 3-4 months, the pub is under new ownership and looking fresh after a refurb. We have been a couple of times with different friends and been impressed both times by the presentation, quality and quantity of food. Didn't have enough space to cope with a third course either time! Unexpectedly they have had problems with their card machine both times. At least they phoned up to forewarn us this last time

Just had a chicken Sunday roast and I think it might be the best roast I've ever had... Yum.

I Was here a couple of months back and it was great. This time the service was terrible and I wouldn't have served a dog my dessert. Heard other customers saying it wasn't the same food they ordered last time either. Really poor show.

Five star mixed grill ,,,, never do reviews but felt compelled to on this occasion .. Fantastic all round

Lovely family run pub in Curthwaite. You can chose to eat at the bar, in the restaurant or even outside on a warm day. The staff are always friendly the beer is good and the food, the food! It's all locally sourced and cooked to the strict standards of the head chef. Make sure you book in advance, especially on sunny days, to avoid disappointment. I haven't been turned away but have had to wait 30mins for a table to came free.
