Friendly pub wiyh good selection of draft beers plus outstanding food , the steak and ale pie is superb!
Stayed there for the week bed and breakfast, Hannah was fantastic, she really made us feel at home. Great breakfast and cosy rooms. Great base to travel from.
Excellent food, drinks and service, to top it off really dog friendly including dog treats and water before you've ordered a drink. Spent many years coming back to the Lake District in many locations and have experienced many great pubs, but in our opinion this is one of the best and we have returned lots of times. Great location, easy walking distance from the central island and the lake. Great roaring fire after a good walk in the cold, very welcoming.
Great place to eat, lovely all day roast and a great atmosphere. They are very friendly to dogs, we sat out the front and were offered water and given some treats for the dog :), really good staff, speedy service and good value for money! Definitely recommend!
I stayed here with my daughter for a couple of days for her Birthday. The Hotel is situated in a very handy position close to all attractions and the lake itself is just down the road. We had a room number 7 which was on the front with large bay windows.My only criticism is that the bathroom was minute couldn't even stretch my arms out width wise. However we enjoyed our stay with the staff being very friendly and accommodating and a delicious breakfast . We arrived before check in time but were able to leave our bags so we could get on with our day. would definitely stay here again.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good food. Was a nice place to eat and have a chat with friends.
Excellent food, excellent beer and excellent if you want to watch the MotoGP (BT Sport) and the staff are really nice and friendly as well!!!
Placed in the middle of the town, is about 5/10 min walk to the main lake. Friendly staff, clean rooms and perfect full English breakfast. Hard to find issues with this hotel, the only quibble would be that the rooms could possibly do with some sound proofing. That said, never had any issues sleeping.
