Went to The Royal Pug last night for a private party in the Gin bar!! Fantastic night, food was incredible and our waiter was on point, Very funny and so helpful. 100% recommend!!

We've been in here a few times, it's a nice little pub with a good atmosphere, it is great in the summer months when you can sit in the small courtyard where you can sit and chat and just chill out with your mates.

We came in for one pint on bank holiday Monday and 8 pints later were still here - the live music is incredible and the service is impeccable. Incredible that dogs are allowed to sit with us and join in. Incredibly friendly staff and can't wait to come back. The best place to drink in Leamington... By far!

Visited last night for a few birthday drinks. I am diabetic and unfortunately my sugars dropped too low. When out drinking people can easily mistake signs of a hypo with drunkenness which can potentially make my life difficult when trying to make people understand and get it treated... However the level of care your staff gave me was second to none! A guy in a checked shirt (sorry i didn't get your name!) gave my friends the food i needed and turned the fan on for me to cool down. It doesn't sound like much but hypos can quickly escalate so a potentially dangerous situation was avoided. Thank you :)

The food was great. Staff excellent. We could not fault. Excellent value. Two of us are colieacs and the staff were excellent in assisting us with our orders. We had such excellent choices. Thie Pug restored our faith in good pub food. Let me tell you we have had some shockers as we travel through the the UK.

Love this place but their floating toilet that comes off the wall is all types of wrong.



I’m 6ft 2 and 19 stone ( I know , need to sort that out), the wall creaked and my feet were off the floor. It was terrifying!



I would say I nearly s*** myself ..but I literally did.

I'm away on business and followed my nose here.

Last night I had the maple pork chop and tonight I had the pork and chorizo burger.

Both meals absolutely amazing and the staff very happy and lovely to be served by.

My servers tonight Cerys and Jessie give these girls a bonus, such lovely girls!



And the best part you served my local brew Aspall Cyder! A taste of home!

Found this little gem on a day out....loved it. We opted for tapas style sharer. Squid, fish cakes and humous...all yummy. Lovely atmosphere and great staff.

Food and service was absolutely fantastic. Probably best food have ever had in a pub ever... excellent value.

Not too impressed when getting a large G&T for my wife when the barmaid picked up slice of lime and squeezed it into the glass with her fingers !! She did change it when asked but made a remark about how she washes her hands a lot .

Whilst waiting for my change, she ran her fingers through hair twice and put one hand in her pocket!!

I presume you do have tongs

Fantastic place. Such helpful staff and we went on a Monday and the pizzas were gorgeous. Took out doggie too and she loved it as well!

Excellent service! Didn't eat as going for afternoon tea. Sign of good bar staff as we left he said enjoy your afternoon tea. Impressed! I'll be back. Cheers � �

Awesome quirky bar, fantastic food and even better service. All the staff here are super friendly. With a packed scheduled of events and great ale too!

The food disappointed

I had the wild mushroom pie which was small but tasty

The mash potatoes were even smaller and had a skin on like they were met warm in a oven

Lovely pub ,nice atmosphere, however our meal was forgotten when we chased it up they realised what had happened and could not have been more apologetic and offered a free drink and pudding , sadly we had to leave hungry as we had tickets for a gig at the assembly , next time �

Wednesday burger night was disappointing. Ordered 2 pug burgers at 7pm. 35 mins later still hasn't seen a burger on the table. Finally 10 mins later 2 burgers arrived. After a lengthy wait, my friend and I were praying the wait was well worth it. IT WASN'T. The burger buns were cold, the burger meat was dry and the chips were mildly warm. I'm quite sure this isn't how you should present a burger. Sorry, but Aubrey Allez did a better job with great tasting burgers when it was still open.

Went twice this week and both times service was awful. Today we waited at lunchtime for 15mins without being served by the ONE member of staff that was serving. Went to Carluccios instead where the service was quick, efficient and all the food came together ....which helps �

Hopefully The Royal Pug can sort itself out �

Went last night for a Birthday meal with 11 friends. Sadly the table that had been specifically reserved had been let to another party. So we ended up on a table that couldn't fit the 12 of us right next to the door left open for the smokers. Won't be back in a hurry, very poor show Royal Pug, where's your customer service! Got the impression you don't give *****!
