The Royal Tiger - Thai/Indian Restaurant

Went last night, big group of us celebrating a 50th birthday, food was fantastic service was superb Entertainment was really good. Fab night all round.

We had a party of 8 for the New Years festivities, the food was excellent, every dish perfect, the service was first class and would definitely recommend the Royal Tiger for any occasion. Looking forward to our next visit, with a number of Birthdays coming up.

There was 14 of us last night for Take That Tribute, we had a fantastic night.

We got our table as soon as we arrived and was given a cocktail each,then we had canapes put out which was lovely. Our starter and main course again was really nice and good was hot. The overall service was very good and the staff could not do enough.

We will def be Hong back.

Thank you so much to all the staff who helped with our charity fundraiser last night for Kawasaki Disease awareness. We had a great time, fab atmosphere, food and service were excellent. Would thoroughly recommend... we may be back again next year!

Retirement celebration for 20+ so Buffet (seated with plates of assorted food for each course on the tables). I thought the food was good. Whitney Houston Tribute singer. Shante she was not on longer. Would eat there again. Notice they have Family Sunday once a month with bouncy castle and games for children. Might be worth a try.

Had an amazing time here last night, celebrating my friend's birthday. Great food and A1 service from all the staff. The food was hot, tasty and plentiful and although it was an extremely busy evening we did not have to wait too long for either starters or main courses. Loved the disco too. Fun time was had by all. Thank you Royal Tiger.

Had a fabulous night on Saturday. Party of 19 ladies for my sisters hen do. Tables were ready on arrival. Lady who welcomed us was lovely and attentive throughout the night. Service was efficient. Food was great (we had a set menu). Drinks brought at bar to save issues with bill at the end. Dj was excellent & we danced the night away in a fun & friendly atmosphere. Thank you Royal Tiger �

Amazing experience. We pre-booked months in advance for approx 20 people and we added to the numbers the closer we got to the booking date.

On the day 120 of us turned up ( yes 120 ) and we were seated in about half of the restaurant including full use of the bar and dance floor areas and the experience could not have been better.

All the staff from servers to managment were very polite and professional and nothing was too much trouble.

The food was amazing and we could not find one fault with the afternoon ( 1pm until about 4pm ).

We previously had a meal for about 45 and that was every bit as as good, as was 3 previous meals with just myself and my Girlfriend.

We have laid plans and pre-booked already for next year and our numbers are growing already due to the enjoyment of the last party.

10/10 and a credit to their trade.

Absolutely fab night at The Tiger last night for a fundraising event - food really tasty and plenty of it - soul singer and disco had us all up dancing - great night had by all!

The plates were put on the table so hot that it burnt my elbow & It took the manager 40 minutes to see me despite me asking 3 times! He said it was because he *was busy* I think thats a bit rubbish, the food was ok & the tribute was funny we had a nice evening. I would go back if i was wearing elbow pads next time.

I booked a table for 5 people for my son's birthday for Saturday 3rd December but was not told, until we sat at our table, that it was a set menu because they were busy with Christmas parties; we were very disappointed. The food that we chose was nice but the set menu was limited for us. It was also hard at times to get a waiters attention.

Bit of a shambles we had booked a table for 5 people weeks ago but when we arrived they struggled to fit us in as they told us they were fully booked. We were eventually given a tiny table squashed between two hen parties, a wall and a window, making it very difficult to get up and down to the toilet or the dance floor without asking about 8 people from other parties to move. The food itself was nice, although a small portion of rice for 5 adults. We were told we could order more, but no-one came to check on us until after our meal, and we couldn't be seen by passing waiters so couldn't flag anyone down to ask. I would visit again but would avoid going on a Saturday night if I was going for a family meal.

Where to start.... Visited for a group Christmas meal tonight and was sadly extremely disappointed with the whole experience. Charged £40pp (which was discounted from £50) for a mediocre cold meal. After reading the take away menu, we realise the food was actually valued at a lot lower and midweek you can get the same for £25pp. Sadly the DJ believed he was playing to a club crowd at Ibiza and ended up clearing the restaurant by 11pm (only the 20 something crowd were left). On top of that the toilets were broken and leaking, so men and women were sharing. Icing on the cake was the 50p charge per drink after 12pm?!

Sadly a venue that I had been informed was a good night out "normally", turned out to be a rip off and would avoid at all cost. Plenty of better venues in Essex that won't double their prices because it's December.

We booked a birthday meal and when we called we were not notified of this car event that was being held!

One hour it took to get out of this car park!

Many times me and my family members came in to speak to management and staff who were no help at all! No one came out for nearly an hour to move these cars.

They had blocked everyone in

They were in the road too causing traffic and problems

It was an absolute nightmare!!

I also had a five year old in the car who was so tired and wanted to go to bed and he is being kept awake by some stupid money making event!!

Thanks for ruining the end of my sisters birthday!!

And thanks for being so unhelpful with rectifying this ridiculous evening !!!!
