Another dreamy summer's day at The Ruin ☀️ could there be a better spot for a pot of tea? We don't think so..

User

Welcome to the world, Robin! We’ve been busy this morning building our new mascot, who our lovely customers named Robin ⛄️

Hello 2018 😍 We reopen for the season today and will now be open from 8:30am until 8:30pm every day! Our chefs have been busy preparing a fab new menu (more on that soon) but there's an old favourite making a reappearance... Who can guess what? 🤔😁

Today is the Winter Solstice; the shortest day of the year...
But we're glass half full kinda people, so we're saying it means summer is on the way! Who can't wait for this view again...?

We can't wait until March when we reopen for the season! To tantalise us all, share your favourite picture from The Ruin 2016... We'll start!

User

Thank you to everyone who has been to visit us this season. The flag is down, the terrace is quiet, the woodfired oven is cooling; that's it from us for 2016. Have a lovely winter and we hope to see you in 2017! Love all at The Ruin x

Great News!

It's a good day for comfort food, and it doesn't come much more comforting than risotto. Crab and Squash Risotto to be precise... One of today's specials. Bon appétit

User

we enjoyed our experience today as it was nice and quiet and a haven away from gigs - the food and service were excellent. This place takes some beating when its right.

User

We saw a sign completely by chance and headed straight for this place once off the ferry - and hence beat the crowds here and at the Abbey gardens. The views are to die for. We only had coffee & lemon & polenta cake but both top notch.

User

The best food served with a smile & what a view... sensational

User

One of the highlights of our annual Scilly Isles pilgrimage. Fabulous food, great views, staff very friendly and helpful. Was really impressed at how child friendly they are. Absolute gem!

Just opposite where we are staying for the week in seagarden cottages. Idyllic location on bay overlooking beach, quiet stunning views. Service extremely friendly and efficient. Enjoyed chilling with drinks so far but had nice baked camembert with honey rosemary chutney and bread when we arrived. Dining there tomorrow pm.

User

Headed to 'The Ruin Beach Cafe' with nothing to base the visit on other than a recommendation of a stop if we happened to be walking that side of the island at lunchtime... Superb! An absolutely beautiful spot on the most fantastic island. Great food and drink, and attentive service - so good we went back a few times during our stay :) Thank you!

User

Great restaurant, good food especially the crab, scallops and fish sharing board. Staff were very friendly whilst the service was sometimes a bit slow but that was understandable as it was packed because live music was playing. Would definitely recommend lunch here but book a table and try and get near the window to have a view of the sea, it's a great spot.

User

Great location, delicious food, friendly service. Thanks to Tom for recommending the Elderflower Cider.

Excellent food, very friendly staff, highly recommended.

User

Charming, very quant and classy restaurant by the waters edge on Tresco. We only popped in for coffe and cake mid morning on a day trip but the food we saw looked top notch. Beautiful interior with gorgeous glazed rear giving spectacular view over the terrace across the bay. Stunning place to sit outside on a sunny day. Wonderful, will def return.

User

Can’t comment on food cos they’d stopped serving but you cannot deny the glorious location. Stunning place.

User

Beautiful location , amazing food , friendly staff ! Just perfection. Would recommend booking particularly if you are a large group ! Cant wait to go back next year to dine in paradise. Affogato is AMAZING thanku to all the staff for fabulous dining experience x

User

A long walk from the quay but so well worth it. The kind people even returned the jacket that Carol had left behind by means of one of the boatmen, wonderful.

User

Yummiest pizza I've had in forever, gorgeous elderflower cider. Price for the cider was a bit steep (£5) but considering that Tresco is expensive, the meal wasn't that badly priced! The staff were lovely too.

User

Lovely bar and restaurant in a beautiful location by the beach looking out to St Martin's. I only came for a drink but the place was busy and the food looked good.

User

A lovely location for a meal, snack or just a drink. Friendly and efficient staff, plenty of outdoor seating but very popular as everyone tends to dally! It is just a little pricey in my opinion but it is good food and drink, well presented.
