About The Runaway Brewery

Micro Brewery - UK

The Runaway Brewery Description

We make great tasting modern British beer.

Our beer is modern in style, internationally influenced but recognisably British. We brew by hand in small batches at our microbrewery in Manchester. Flavour and quality come first and we always use the best ingredients available.

We open our Brewery Tap Room every Saturday from 12 - 8 for tours, tastings and on and off sales from the brewery bar.

A wonky video of what's on the taps tomorrow .....12pm -8pm.

Brewing another fruity number this week - with the guys from @barsixsandbach. Lemons picked last Thursday from groves in Italy. Freshly squeezed and zested today in Manchester. Smells Amazing!

User

Tap Room Open this Saturday 12 - 8 if you fancy a beer. We've no tours or tastings on this weekend, so we should be a beacon of calm riding on a sea of... yeah, whatevs.

CAN YOU HELP US? Some a-hole stole our van yesterday morning. Van recovered in Blackley, but all of the beer we brewed with @BrewWild to raise money for Manchester Beekeepers Association was stolen. If anyone is offered bottles that look like this... please let us know & share as far & wide as you can.

The Runaway Brewery are hosting local wine heroes Reserve Wines for a special beer, cheese and wine tasting at the Runaway Brewery Tap.
Professional wino and French cheese buff Nic (Reserve Wines) and cheese mad brewer Mark (Runaway Brewery) are out to share their love of the grape, the grain and the curd. The tasting will show off some classic, and more contemporary combinations, from dry Saisons to barrel aged Brown Ales, from big Burgundies to sweet red wines, from aged Gouda to Stinking Bishops - what these guys don’t know about cheese with wine and beer isn’t worth knowing, so expect a fun and informative evening.
The ticket price includes entry to the event and all of your cheese. Beer and wine pairings will be available on the night by the glass or flight for an additional charge.

Go behind the scenes at our small microbrewery in Manchester and find out how we make beer.
Each tour is led by one of our brewers who will take you on a tour of our working brewery and guide you through a tasting of four of our beers. Try our malt, smell our hops, drink beer from the tank (brew cycle allowing), and find out all you need to know about how our beer is made.
Brewery tours are limited to 20 people per session and last approx 60-90 minutes.

I booked an afternoon here to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday since he loves his beer. Really wasn't sure what to expect for only £12.50 each and we travelled a good 90 minutes to get there so I was crossing my fingers for something special.... and it was! What a fantastic place! We were 20 minutes late on account of the traffic but the team were so kind to wait for us as there was a group of other people on our booking also (they, too, we're very understanding). We were told all about the brewery, how it came to be, and the people behind it - very lovely to have this intro and hear about the story behind the business. Mark continued on to explain the ins and outs of all things beer - how it's made, the different kinds, what kind of ingredients they use and why. As someone who is not particularly interested in beer, I found it extremely fascinating so my dad was like a kid in a candy shop. The 4 very different beers we drank during Mark's talk were all included in the price and very unique tastes - there is certainly a lot to be said for the creativity of these brewers! To top of a wonderful tour, Mark and John presented my dad with two as-of-yet unreleased beers as a 'happy birthday' - something that meant a great deal to him and me. These guys literally made his day; it was so heartwarming for me to see, and for £12.50, you would be absolutely MAD not to give them a visit. Brilliant day out, brilliant beer, brilliant blokes. Thanks so so much x
