I have been coming here for years, always been a family favourite, but tonight was poor. It took over an hour for our food to be brought out after finishing our papadums. What made this worse was one customer coming in, ordering there and then for takeaway and receiving it 20minutes later.. there were customers complaining about waiting time, and asking for refund.. one point a customer rang up who had obviously just got home with his takeaway and something was wrong with it.. when our food was brought out after and hour my dish was wrong, as it was just chicken and not mixed (chicken and lamb) this didnt bother me too much but i had cut open each peice just to check, let the waiter know who said he wud take it off the bill. Few minutes later the waiter came back and asked me to double check each peice again as the chef was sure he had put 4 chunks of lamb in. Which he obviously hadn't. The restaurant has been recently taken under new management and i believe has gone down hill since this, after tonight reading reviews on other sites too that have complained, seems im not the only one. Time to find another local great Indian.

VERY VERY POOR!! The only reason I gave 1 star is because u have to otherwise it would have been 0 stars! We booked a table for 7.30 we arrived and were shown to our table (shoved in the corner) waited 15 mins for our drinks order to be taken. Then another 15 mins for our order to be taken (sat down now for 30 mins.) chatting away and noticing people around us still haven't recieved there food but LOTS OF TAKE AWAY orders being received. (Counted at LEAST 15) waited another 15 mins at this point we have been sat down for 45 mins we asked the Owner when we would receive our food and the he said 5 mins we thought ok to which we then asked the couples around us what time they had been here from the replies 7, 7.10, 7.15 and they still haven't recieved their food. We waited 25 mins (20minutes longer than the owner had said our food would be) and the couples around us had asked where their meals were in this time one lady had to pick her son up from work at 9.15, (over heard her telling the owner!) She had been sat down since 7! And it's now 8.40 and we still haven't recieved our food I said to my husband I not prepared to wait any more so we paid our drinks bill and left with the owner saying please sir 5 more mins and my husband politely replied you have been saying that for the last hour and a half! AVOID AVOID!! Leaving hungry we decided to get a lovely Indian takeaway from balti house in Henbury.
