Excellent food lovely room excellent breakfast great staff lovely and clean and very relaxing and welcoming would recommend this place to everyone 👍👍😁 and would absolutely come again

Had a great beer here at the end of 22 miles. Ok all beer tastes great at the end of the day but it was accompanied by great bar staff and a relaxed attitude to 4 muddy walkers taking up their bar.

This is a well situated pub and restaurant for travellers along the Hadrian's wall treks. Close to other local walks. Staff were helpful. Really nice food range and generous portions. One of the best salads ever. Nice room and facilities.

Was advised to go here by a walker and was not disappointed. Good food and pleasant staff. Quite small though and I imagine it can get busy at peak times.

Had a good home made lunch here, service was fast, food tasty and excellent value. The range of local ales were also welcome. Pub looks like it has just been renovated, its clean and tidy, retaining a traditional, cosy, welcoming pub feel that is often missed with chain pubs. Ended up spending a good part of the afternoon there, sitting by the fire playing scrabble. A perfect place for my wife, myself and our dog after a nice walk along Hadrians wall. Would recommend.

Had Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the food and staff were great 👍👍👍

Lovely food, a very friendly welcome and a great selection of drinks with good local options. And a nice warm wood burning stove.

Excellent, very tasty. Dedicated gluten-free menu. My wife is happy with her vegetarian dinner
