The Sands Centre

Easy to get to venue, loads of parking. Have a good selection of gigs on during the year. Just feels like a great big sports hall.

Nice cafe, comfortable seating in the main auditorium, lovely atmosphere, and a kids outdoor play park. We've been here many times and are never disappointed

It is difficult to rate The Sands centre correctly. I've been a member for 15 years so feel experienced to offer an honest opinion. The facilities are first rate. The only exclusion is the lack of a pool but there are other pools available locally and with 0.5 mile of the centre. Generally, the staff are fine with some excellent personel; some however need a course in behavioural management and courtesy. The company behind The Sands (GLL/Better) are running it in to the ground.

Has all the gym equipment you need. Don't see the staff much and because of that the dumbbells are all on the floor in a messy arrangement. At the reception in the gym there is sometimes not anyone there which is annoying in case your card doesn't work

Attended a recent event. Had a good time. Bar prices were reasonable. Speed of service could be better. Overall a very good night

Carlisle's only venue for bigger music events. Unfortunately not big enough for bands who's recognised world wide.
