Thoroughly enjoyed our visit yesterday evening. Was expecting "posh nosh" and I wasn't disappointed. The recent makeover has given way to a tasteful restaurant with spectacular views across the harbour and East Looe. Service, although good was a little lacking. We were asked for our food order before being offered drinks, but that was quickly and politely rectified. I plumped for the haddock scotch egg which was sublime! From now on a Tesco's scotch egg won't cut it; nowhere near <3 and a side of crab mac n cheese!! Delish! My daughter chose a Nelson Burger. Bacon jam is the future!! Gorgeous fries and even some ketchup! Not too posh for a dash of the red stuff. Suitably stuffed after that little lot, we didn't try the desserts but will do that next visit. Really can't recommend the food highly enough! We most definitely enjoyed our first outing to this beautiful restaurant!

User

The service was excellent, relaxed, organised and attentive, the food was superbly prepared and presented and it felt that the staff and chefs really believed in and gave their soul to the experience of the diner, this is quality dining and superb service at very reasonable prices, Well done Ben and the brigade!

User

The mushy peas are a triumph. Everything was delicious and the service and setting perfect. Best eat in Looe by far and bill was a lovely surprise given the amount we ate/drank.

User

Popped in for a light bite at lunchtime, our first visit since it opened.

The service was friendly, and the food was excellent!

I had the chowder with bread and seaweed butter and my wife had the fish cakes. Both were delicious.

We will definitely go again in the evening, very highly recommended.

User

Lovely venue, light and spacious. Not what you would normally expect in Looe.

IŌĆÖm not a fish lover myself so not the best person ask but great menu ( with non fish options) and great service.

Minted peas were fab btw. Smoked haddock scotch egg a winner with my husband.

Thanks for a lovely evening.

User

Lovely restaurant, good service and the food was fabulous!

User

Hubby and I enjoyed an exquisite meal quite un-like anything else weŌĆÖve tasted in the area. A totally immersive, but uncomplicated foodie experience with complete emphasis on taste and quality ingredients. Certainly on par with anything weŌĆÖve tasted from the Rick Stein franchise, at a fair price, and whatŌĆÖs even better - itŌĆÖs here on our own lovely Looe doorstep. Well done Team Sardine’┐Į ’┐Į

Had an excellent lunch today. Really tasty nibbles followed by and some excellent John Dory for me. My Mum n Dad really enjoyed their plaice and hake too. Good, friendly service from the staff too. Well done to everyone at the SF

User

Great eating experience. Whitebait, whole plaice seaweed butter summer greens, saffron bread and butter pudding. Absolutely delicious.

User

Food was delicious, waiting staff were excellent. A must in my opinion!

User

First of many visits. Food is divine- well cooked, beautifully presented & absolutely delicious. The staff are all delightful, well trained & attentive without being over the top.

User

Every time I think about the lunch I had here my mouth starts watering! The food and service were fantastic and what an amazing setting. Well done to all involved. I┬┤m hoping to come back again soon

User

Delicious food, excellent, friendly, service, lovely setting - wonderful. We were a table of 4 and between us had the mini fishcakes, calamari (delicious, but I would suggest they drain off the excess oil in the kitchen before plating), salads, burgers and the haddock scotch egg which was something unique and delicious. The only thing that all 4 of us didn't like were the unisex toilets - all of us (aged 19 up to 56) agreed it is nicer to have separate loos for Ladies and Gents. However, we will definitely go again and can highly recommend the food, location, surroundings, value for money, great menu and exceptional service and staff.

User

Both the meal and the service was excellent...

User

Best food IŌĆÖve had in Looe in a long time! Cheers Ben!

User

An amazing addition to the local food scene, wonderful location and a relaxed setting. Superb modern, fresh and healthy menu and some very attentive staff all make it a must to visit if in Looe.

User

Amazing riverside setting - the best view in Looe - with superb food & service.

Very well done to all involved - the decor & shoals of sardines on the ceiling just brilliant !

Only comments - I thought the ceiling spotlights a little too bright and the hot starters arrived on cold plates - this is only mentioned out of being constructive as overall we 4 had a fantastic evening !
