🎸🎤Back yet again by popular demand!!! The Bluestrings are playing again at The Scape House THIS FRIDAY 16th November!!! 9.30pm start until midnight🎤🎸

What a superb dinner we had today at The ScapeHouse: only went for a main course but ended up having 3! An extensive menu of which we shared 2 starters. The rack of ribs and nacho's with brisket. Both mouthwatering and the cod for main course was beautiful. As for the Belgian waffle with hot sticky toffee sauce and ice cream, well that was pure heaven! The staff and service were brilliant and the pub itself a joy to visit. 5/5 to the Scape House and to all who work there. Shall definitely be back again soon!

We take my grandma every month for lunch when we come over to visit her. The food is always great and this time there was even more choice with the specials board. We all had a lovely meal: I had the pork fillet stuffed with black pudding and wrapping in Parma ham, my grandma had her favourite lasagna and my partner had the Guinness and steak suet pudding off the specials board. I am a gin drinker and the choice of gin is fantastic, I had a lovely rhubarb gin and slim line tonic with fruit. Also, the staff are very friendly and attentive and it has a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning again in the near future.

We stumbled across the Scape House by accident were just hoping that it might have Sunday roast. We were not disappointed!! The place has a traditional atmosphere, what I would call a proper country pub!! The roast lamb was beautifully cooked as were all the potatoes and veg! The portion size was very generous and I had a medium size!! I would definitely come again!

We came Mother's Day (26th march 2017) had a booking for 8, the food was delicious as always!! Staff are always friendly & polite!

Scapehouse is always our first choice & we have never been disappointed with the food or the service, would highly recommend. Keep up the good work guys & see u all soon

Tonight we had a Great dinner what a lovely place. Our meals were delicious. I always have a problem with my food allergies but not here we had booked and warned them beforehand. The Food was great. The Staff were very friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere was great too. Pity we only here for 1 night.

This was our first visit with friends who live close by ...The Staff were friendly...the food was lovely with generous portion size & the choice was great! What more can you ask for? Very impressed.

The scapehouse is a lovely place to go if you want a good old fashioned Yorkshire pub grub atmosphere. The place is very inviting with its warm lighting n open fire (not always going but still nice to look at) food is excellent n nice big portions. Staff are nice n polite n they don't hover over you while your eating which is always a plus I'd recommend it to anyone

Excellent food, best gluten free fish and chips ever. Good service, good choice of menu, we'll definitely be going back.

Been here on several occasions, never had a bad meal ,we were celebrating my son getting his new teaching position and we couldn't have picked a better place , lovely place with brilliant and helpful staff . See you soon . XxX

An amazing friendly pub, the food is delishious, if you have the fish and chips be warned the fish is like a whale.

Really enjoyed my food today, lovely male staff member too! Unfortunately the same can't be said for the drunk farmer who clearly thinks he can speak to women in a derogatory manner in the middle of the day. Hopefully I won't have to experience that again if I return as it's not the 1940s!

Food was yummy, pub atmosphere and decor nice. Icecream immense. 2 courses and a pint of Lager and a large white wine and lemonade £47.50 bit steep ...

Allways good food and welcoming ..very pleasant surroundings and the views from scapegoat hill are breathtaking.well worth a visit xx

Lovely meal with the family for Mothers Day. Service was a little on the slow side, but that's to be expected on such a busy day. Lack of Baby changing facilities was a big problem as the size of the ladies toilets means that wherever you change your baby (on the toilet floor �) you are in the way of either the main door or the doors to the cubicles. Due to this I think it will be quite some time before we visit again as our son is only 17 weeks old.
