The Scotsman's Pack is internationally famed as a traditional Inn located in Hathersage, Hope Valley just a short walk away from Little John's grave in St Michael's church that overlooks the beautiful gritstone village of Hathersage, with it's association with Jane Austen.
The Scotsmans pack features a welcoming bar area, two seated dining areas and a private function room. Accommodation is available in the private rooms upstairs. The patio area is a sun trap, located next to the trout stream which is to the south of the main building.

After the Government’s announcement on Friday that pubs have to close and last nights new measures, we had considered options to provide a takeaway/delivery service.
We have now taken the decision to close completely to protect our staff and customers.
Take care of yourselves and we will see you all when we are all back to normal.

In a time of uncertainty surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19), we feel it is necessary to take a proactive approach to the wellbeing of both our staff and customers by placing an emphasis on reducing any unnecessary contact, including the following measures:
• Additional staff training has been undertaken to ensure the best possible hygiene for both staff and the pub.
• Additional time has been allocated for stringent cleaning.
... • If any staff should display early symptoms associated with COVID-19 we are encouraging them to self-isolate.
Regardless of the current situation we always have and will maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness. The following steps have also been implemented with immediate effect:
• Removal of all menus, condiments and cutlery from tables - these will be provided by staff once customers are seated.
• Removal of the ‘help yourself’ water station.
• Provision of antibacterial hand soap for customers and staff.
• Use of additional antibacterial table wipes.
For now, it is business as usual and we look forward to welcoming you. Thank you to our valued customers for your continued support.
