The Seashell restaurant of Lisson Grove is London’s most famous classic fish and chip restaurant.
Whether your after a quick takeaway bite to eat, business lunch or a relaxing dinner with friends and family The Seashell is the perfect place. Relax over a filling meal and crisp glass of wine soothed by the bubbling of a fish filled wall aquarium in our new refurbished restaurant.
Located close to many of London’s famous hotels and landmarks – Regents Park, London Zoo, Madame Tussand’s, Lords Cricket Ground and Abbey Road – The Seashell has gained a respectable reputation for producing some of the freshest, tastiest and highest quality of fish and chips in England. Over 40 years this reputation has spread amongst locals, tourists and a variety of the famous. The Seashell has a high belief in using only the freshest and tastiest ingredients, there for our fish is delivered fresh daily from trusted suppliers & where possible is line caught and sourced in sustainable waters.
Our chips are made on the premises using only English potatoes and our homemade tartare sauce is made from fresh and local ingrediants. In today’s increasingly environmentally –conscious climate, sustainability is fast becoming an important element of eating out.
Through its commitment to fresh and conscientiously-sourced products and in association with environmental media – based organisations, such as channel 4’s Fish Fight, The Seashell seeks to ensure that your meal is as environmentally friendly as it is fresh & tasty!

The best fund and chips I’ve ever had!! Fish was fresh, flaky with delicious mushy peas and chips plus amazing onion rings and delectable homemade vegetable soup . Would highly recommend this place

Only just started eating fish, but what a place to start. On our first visit Cod & Chips it was smashing 10/10. So on our next visit wanted to try something different so had the Lemon Sole Goujons in panko breadcrumbs this is an absolute winner. The staff are lovely and attentive nothing to much trouble. Can't wait for my next visit.
Ok just now got some chips take away , not impressed at all , 2.90 for large chips that were almost stone cold and also very small portion , also some quite a few manky chips , really not very happy at all , will not be returning to this shop again
Lovely food. I had cod and chips and it was amazing. Pricier than some of the other fish and chip restaurants but you get what you pay for. As it was a Friday night it was very busy so had to wait about 10 minutes to cook the cod. But well worth it.
I wish I could give a higher rating than 5 stars. Great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service from our Maitre D' Claudio and the team, especially our waitress Ida.

Took my daughters and visiting friends from Australia üá¶üá∫ on another friends recommendation. Very nice and welcoming. We all had the cod and chips and whilst we all cleared our plates as the fish was perfect I just found it a tad expensive but maybe that‚Äôs me being out of touch. Saying that I would return because you don‚Äôt mind paying if you enjoy and I would also recommend.
All perfectly ok but not as good as fish and chips where my husband comes from in West Yorkshire. My only complaint is that they do not know the difference between cake or pie. I ordered home made apple cake, but it was apple pie. I did try to explain to the foreign waitress but I think it was lost on her. I would not have ordered apple pie because it was exactly as I suspected, soft pastry instead of crisp. I was really looking forward to apple cake!

Ordered cod and chips in the restaurant. Very disappointed after reading the reviews! Chips tasted like they were reheated, batter soft and fish watery. Nobody came to ask whether everything was ok otherwise I would have said. Would not return and do not recommend.
Not worth the trip, the fish box is blend tasteless and the fried batter soggy
Sadly the quality is repeatedly falling this summer of 2018. This is the third time and probably the last. Will now be working to take back the recommendations made.
