The Seaview Restaurant Description
What must be described as the best fish & chip seaside experience. Serving the best seafood in a truly sumptuous setting. Our queues speak for themselves. Because we are extremely busy, I'm sorry to say we are unable to take bookings of any kind.
Reviews
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...thanks to the amazing Jen @ Ruffled Wren for transforming the restaurant into a Christmas wonderland.
Arguably the perfect winter special...Spiced Monkfish Curry with Cumin and Pea Basmati Rice, with Our Own Homemade Chapati. Suggested pairing of Yorkshire Golden Beer.
What an enjoyable way to spend your weekend morning.
Nothing to say other than....what a wonderful day 😃
Can you think of a more appropriate pudding on cold days...Sticky Toffee Pudding, Honeycomb Crumb with Vanilla Ice Cream.
Don’t eat fish.....Roasted Celeriac, Kale and Parmesan Tagliatelle with Pumpkin Seeds and Walnuts.
Hot smoked salmon, leek and Gruyere cheese tart. Served with a caper and watercress salad and parmesan puree.
Another addition to our new autumn menu.....Scallops with Pancetta, Chestnuts, Savoy Cabbage and Roasted Parsnip Cream.
Perfect dish from our new menu for these wintery days....Seafood Chowder with Sourdough Bread.
Some days just feel special while walking to work.
Fresh date and walnut scones this morning for breakfast service.
Freshly baked this morning....our wonderful fruit scones served on our breakfast menu.
This special sells out every day.....Pan Fried Sea Trout, Roasted Beetroot and Carrot, Samphire and Walnut, Served with a Beetroot and Parmesan Sauce.
Yippee....all the seaweed has gone.
Following on from yesterday’s starters....The simple but wonderful Calamari with Garlic Mayo.
Just a couple of starters from our current menu....Seared Scallops with Tartar and Hazelnut Crumb. Also Mackerel with Beetroot, Samphire and Cucumber, Mustard Creme Fraiche.
Why not enjoy the perfect view with the perfect breakfast?
Fresh lobster in again today and another wonderful sunny day.
On the daily menu...Hake with Creamy Wild Mushrooms, Butterbeans and Spinach
You get what you pay for.. anyone who goes to Seaview will be happy to pay for what you get. Fantastic food, amazing views and friendly staff. Book a table you won't be dissapointed!
Went to Saltburn for the day with my family so called in here for lunch. I had fish cakes and they were the best I’ve ever tasted. My son is not a great fish eater but he loved the cod so that says something! Would highly recommend this restaurant and the views from it are amazing.
Value for Money, one of the best viewing spots on the north east cost. Very attentive team , not just staff but helpful. I go here eight to twelve times a year with my Aunty and boy she is very hard to please. If you want to pay fish and chip prices go to their very friendly outside serving counter. But if you want one of the best service and quality food then use the restaurant up or down. Another
The staff and service they provided was fantastic. The food was outstanding and we were given a wonderful window seat. Keep up the good work, we loved it.
The food is out of this world, service was first class, could not fault anything. Highly recommended 5 star
The fish n chips here are sublime - and the view is astonishing, too.
Really lovely. Yes, more expensive than Weatherspoobs, but in my experience you only get what you pay for!
Love this place! Delicious breakfast on the balcony, super friendly smiley staff
In the wonderful location of Saltburn, a lovely friendly and efficient place with great views . The food is great too, quickly served and delicious.
I really enjoyed the fish and chips at The Seaview yesterday evening. I had small cod and chips with mushy peas, and a pot of tea and it was all lovely. It cost £12.50 in total, which I thought was very good value for the overall experience (food, service, surroundings). The food was freshly cooked and good quality and the service was friendly and efficient. The new décor looks great and the views from upstairs of the pier and Huntcliff are stunning. We don’t live locally now, so I haven’t been here for a while – we’ll definitely be back when we can!
I have been on numerous occasions, it’s lovely, food, plenty of sauces, efficient staff, lovely view, can’t fault it xx
First class fish and chips. Tartare sauce was gorgeous. Excellent service and views to die for!
Excellent food and service. Great view from the roof top veranda. The doggie beer went down well with Milo. Thanks
20 minute queue worth it to eat upstairs in restaurant. The cod & chips with mushy peas were excellent - batter crisp, fish so fresh & tasty and chips plentiful! Service was also exceptional & despite a continued queue outside the staff never tried to rush you.
Views fab. Waitress Dannii very good, very efficient, very polite and courteous.
Normally go for the best ever fish and chips, but this time tried their new menu. Calamari appetiser, crab starter, best lobster I’ve tasted followed be delicious pans cotta. The service was good the food excellent if you can get past the delicious fish and chips to try the new menu you won’t be disappointed
I was disappointed. I’ve had better fish and chips, and if you wanted mushy peas (a given I would say) they are extra. The food was pricey, but the setting is good and lovely views. Very busy so be prepared for a wait.
Very, very expensive fish and chips and don’t even include tea and bread and butter now,if you want mushy peas you will have to pay £1.80 for a tiny dish!!
Very disappointing.
The customer service at the takeaway leaves alot to be desired, take your money then just basically chuck your order at you. Had much better quailty at much better prices aswell. Wont be using again.
