The date has been set - 1st JULY is the last day we’ll be trading from our Bell Street premises, after that I’ll be up to my eyeballs in paint pots & brushes to get everything ready for the new people. We’ve still got about 60 odd dresses in our sale from our favourite designers @charlie_brear @stephanieallin @essenseofaustralia @rembostyling @marylise_bridal so give me a ring if you’re looking for a bargain. So onto our sale...as you know we’re closing the doors to our Reigate boutique in July so while I can still take new orders until then I’m really looking for all of my sample dresses to go. We’ve got so many dresses by @rembostyling @marylise_bridal @elizajanehowell @essenseofaustralia @gemymaalouf @charlie_brear @stephanieallin & they’re all in great condition & at 50% off the RRP in sizes 12s & 14s but can be tailored smaller. Morning so I’M BACK 👋🏼 that was the week that was, tonsillitis is miserable!!!! It’s my last day of antibiotics today so while I’m defo better I haven’t got that ‘lust for life’ feeling I always get when I’m better but hopefully that will be tomorrow. I’m playing catch up today so replying to e-mails etc throughout the day. Urgh this is me 😔 after feeling a bit under the weather for a few days I’ve finally had to get to the doctors & I’ve got tonsillitis 😔 I’m in bed for the day resting & staying silent which is REALLY HARD but I’ve got to do what my body needs. Margaret is in the boutique & I’m hoping to pop in tomorrow & the rest of the week for a few hours but I’ve never had this before so I need to see how I go. So it’s an emotional one from me tonight peeps - after thinking VERY long and hard about plans for the future we have decided to close the boutique doors in July when our lease is up. There’s more about the logistics & my reasons over on our blog (link in bio) because I’ll never fit it all into this little square of mine but meanwhile, all orders are being fulfilled & we’re business as usual until we leave with some great offers on dresses in the meantime...x

Where do I start?! Even from the moment I visited the Secret Dress House website I had a feeling I was going to find the perfect dress there and they didn't disappoint. The whole experience from start to finish was a dream; from the luxurious dressing room down to the little details like having my name on a blackboard on the door to welcome me to each appointment.



Kelly has such a gorgeous selection of dresses to choose from that to start with I wondered how I would ever be able to pick just one! The dress I chose, an Eliza Jane Howell dress, was like no other and in fact it was on Kelly's suggestion that I tried it on in the first place - she has a knack for just knowing what will work. She also saved the day finding me the perfect hair accessory when just a month before the wedding I still didn't have anything for my hair!



You can't go wrong in choosing The Secret Dress House, I'm just gutted I don't have a reason to go back there now!

This was my first time trying on wedding dresses, SDH having been recommended to me by my hairdresser who bought her dress here this year. I absolutely loved the entire experience, from the minute I arrived at the shop, I felt special seeing my name on a welcome sign at the door and then the fun began. Kelly has a brilliant team here, Margaret with all her experience and Emily who picked 'the' dress for me in the end and in fact picked a dress that I hadn't even considered initially! I wasn't pressurised in any way to buy and it was no problem trying on various styles to help me gauge what worked for me. I ordered my perfect dress and a bonus having 10% discount on the day. I cannot wait for my first fitting and to see my dress again. Margaret was also very helpful in getting me a small swatch sample of my dress so that I can match up my colours. I feel so happy to have found my dress in this shop and I know the service I will get will continue to be special and personal to me. Highly recommend SDH for any bride to be! Thanks everyone at SDH, amazing bunch of ladies.

This is by far the best place to find a dress. I was visiting family over the summer and had just recently got engaged. My step mom said we should at least go check out some dresses to get an idea and knew of this shop from a friend. Even though they knew I was from Canada and it would be tough to get a dress from them with timing and alternations, they were so patient and caring the entire appointment. The woman who dressed me and pinned the dresses was AMAZING. I don't think I realized how good until I visited other shops who just use big clips to fit the dresses. The whole appointment I felt truly cared for and no other experience at other stores compares. Every store should strive for this level of customer service.

I am so glad that I choose the dress and veil I did, with help, patience and guidance from Kelly and the team, it felt very me and I've never felt as lovely as I did on my wedding day! I'm just sad that now it's over I don't get to try on any more dresses or come for more visits :)

Margaret is a superstar! She was the only one "salesperson" I met through my wedding dress shop journey who didn't push me into buying a dress quick as I didn't have much time left but I was reassured by her that I will find my dream dress � - and I did at the shop! The only thing I am sad about is that I won't be visiting this beautiful , serene shop on regular basis � I will forever keep beautiful memories of this place with me �

Kelly …. you are amazing. A huge thank you for your patience, your advice for listening to us and for making choosing my wedding dress so memorable. I travelled from France and my daughter Tassja set up a number of appointments for us to go wedding dress shopping. My first appointment was at The Secret Dress House. Kelly was amazing and made us feel so special and comfortable and we left so relaxed having seen what could be "The Dress" but having been the first bride shop I had visited (and being a typical woman!) I wanted to look elsewhere. After our second appointment at another Bridal shop left us both feeling like we had just ran a marathon and the assistants not listening to us, I decided to cancel all other appointments and go back to see Kelly the following morning to re-try on my dress. She was so right and although not what I thought I wanted, it was so me!. Oh and thanks to BA letting me hang my dress in the wardrobe on the flight home, I got my dress back to France in one piece!. I'll send you photos of the wedding in September Kelly. If you're ever in France come and visit us at A Gaillut in Gers. Good luck for all you do in the future and enjoy some well earned family time. xx

I went to a lot of shops before I visited Kelly and Margaret at SDH. I instantly felt comfortable. No pushy sales pitches or making me try on anything I didn't want to - this oddly made me try more on. The result: I bought my dress there and then!! This feeling and service continued throughout, both in communication and visits to the shop. I'm now married and I'm sad I don't have a reason to visit the shop again!

Amazing place to go dress shopping, Kelly Margaret and Sam are all fabulous, so easy to deal with and helped me pick a style and designer that would suit my shape. Trendy & modern dresses and lots of fab accessories. � definitely give this place a try if you are getting married �

The shop itself is really pretty and unlike other bridal shops I have been in. Immediately we were offered a drink and were made to feel at ease. I was asked the style dress I was looking for, budget etc and they picked some dresses for me to try on. All the dresses were absolutely beautiful and the ladies were very friendly and helpful. Even though I didn't end up buying my dress here they all spent time with me going over what styles suited me which I was really impressed with. The customer service is exceptional here and the dresses are beautiful. I would recommend this shop for any bride looking for a wedding dress. Thank you.
