This week we sadly waved off Matt Beggs as he moved to Osaka.
A lover of whisky, Irn bru, noodles and whisky, with us from the beginning and genuinely one of the nicest chaps you could wish to meet.
He made this extremely sinister yet tender picture as a leaving present too (he’s on the far left) 💝👊👀

my first time at the set and the food was just amazing and delightful, the food is new british cuisine, i did feel that it was a bit rich but beautifully presented and tasteful, you can eat in 1 plat a selection of very interesting ingredients which make your experience very unique .

the floor team was brilliant and fully trained to tell you every single details of the food when serving you. the service is professional and impeccable with smiley faces. happy people!

the restaurant looks vintage style made with beautiful furniture snd lay out with a very good taste of mixed materials.

i will definitely return with my friends, thanks to you all for making it so very enjoyable.

Who knew carrot five ways could be so incredibly delicious... and the monkfish... well!!! Totally blown away by this excellent restaurant, supremely delicious food, a quirky, intimate atmosphere and 5star service. Staff are attentive and so knowledgable it made all the difference. I have recommended to anyone who would listen!!! Thank you!

We went to the Set for Lunch yesterday and chose a selection from the brunch menu, our meal was delicious so many great flavours!

The service also was very good.

We had one of our best meals here for the variety, presentation, tastes, ambience and last but not least the staff. Their attention to detail and knowledge or all the food and wines was awesome. They were so attentive without be overpowering. Going into the cocktail lounge after for our coffees etc. was so lovely. They've got it perfect and I will recommend endlessly. I came for brunch yesterday with 2 of my friends for a 30th birthday celebration. The food and service were absolutely outstanding... and perfect for watching the marathon out the window.

We ended up staying on for more drinks as we enjoyed the Bloody Marys so much. We tried several of the breakfast options and WOW!

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Can’t wait to come back for 2nd helpings of crab and eggs... and those delicious banana pancakes �

First visit with friends superb service and menu. We were recommended the restaurant which was full but still enjoyed the cafe.

Finally got around to visiting The Set last night! What can I say...... Fantastic! From the varied Veggie set menu to the amazing wine flight! My partner and I were impressed by the not only the food and ambience but the knowledge and friendliness of the staff! Christian was superb and looked after us impeccably all evening! We can’t wait to return to try the tapas! Thank you for a wonderful evening! �

Came here with my partner last night with 2 couples who had never been before. We on the other hand have been many times so the pressure was on for them to be suitably impressed. Safe to say they were blown away. As a group we like our food and been to all the usual top notch places Issac @, Etch, Cin Cin, 64 Degrees etc but last night we thought you definitely take top place in our opinion. Bravo. (Sorry if we were too loud)

Best restaurant in Brighton!! Served by the gorgeous Joe for the second time, who brought the experience to life!! Couldn't fault any aspect of the food or service. Can't wait to come back!!
