The Seymour Clinic - For Hypnotherapy And Positive Change Description

Hi, I’m Emma Seymour, a highly qualified clinical hypnotherapist with a wealth of experience and a burning desire to help you overcome challenges, achieve your goals, and become all that you want to be in this world.

I am dedicated to helping you achieve a successful outcome… whatever that means to you.

My approach combines cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with clinical hypnosis. Two great things about the way I work: one, it’s quick; and two, it’s super effective. (And three, it can be fun, but that’s really just a bonus. )

We’ll work together from the start, so that I understand you and your unique situation. We’ll clarify and set your goals, and make a plan to get you where you want to be. Almost all my clients get there in 3-12 weeks.

I have trained for years, with four hypnotherapy colleges, to be this good. All are great, each one gave me a better set of skills and knowledge, and all of it was valuable. The result of all this fabulous training is that I’ve developed my own evidence-based approach, so I’m uniquely placed to help you.

I’m a member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) and I’m fully insured with the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT). So all the professional stuff is in place (and it's important: please don't see a hypnotherapist without this).

Before all that, back in the day, I studied English Literature and Theatre Studies at Glasgow University. I also hold a masters degree in Marketing from Strathclyde University, and another in Modernities (a fascinating mix of twentieth-century literature, culture and politics) from Glasgow.

I’ve worked in public relations, marketing and management, in a massive global firm and small family-run businesses. I've been an office junior and I'm a company director. I’ve lived and worked in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fife, London and New York, so it’s fair to say I’ve had some life experience.

I’m also a compassionate human being, and unlike a lot of therapists, I'm friendly! I believe a smile goes a long way, so in my clinic I combine kindness and understanding with rigorous processes and high professional standards, so you get the best of both worlds.

I’m frustrated when I hear about sub-standard therapy. Clients often come to me after a series of bad experiences, and it’s my mission to end that by creating satisfied customers. If I could have one wish, I'd set us all free from the suffering that comes from our own minds. So I work with my clients, and maybe with you, to make that happen one person at a time.

Whether you have a specific goal in mind right now, or you’re just feeling stuck and need help to figure out your goals, we can help.

If you have hopes and fears, and you know something needs to change, call or email me today.

With love and light,
Emma

Darlings, I’ve been having a difficult time, so I’m booking some time out. I’m in need of R&R and deep healing. I’m seeking peace... so I’m going off grid for a couple of weeks. I’ll be meditating (A LOT) and dancing #Qoya, practising yoga, and journaling and creating and preparing myself for spring adventures. How we take care of ourselves affects everything, and everyone, all around us. Please be kind and loving to yourself, and I will do the same. I’m doing the best I can right now, and I bet you are too. And you know what? Two things: 1) It IS enough and so are you! And 2) it will also get better, and so will you. Sending all the love, from my heart to yours. Take care lovelies 😘✨🙏❤️💃

✨Qoya Class announcement!✨ Emma is thrilled to be offering her first proper Qoya class since completing her intensive training (with the creator of this amazing practice, in the snowy Catskill Mountains of New York last month). As she integrates all her learnings and experience gained straight from the source, this is going to be a special class! 🕊We are dancing for PEACE, which can be hard to feel or find at this time of year.🕊 If you’re in the area and you’d love the chance... to slow down, breathe, and come home to the truth of yourself, come and dance with Emma and this circle of wonderful women. ✨Friday 14th December @ 1pm, class is 1hr 15mins, suggested donation is £10, and you’ll be so glad you came! ✨There are no levels, no experience required, there’s no way you can do it wrong, and the way you know you’re doing it RIGHT is that it feels GOOD. * B L A Z I N G * I’ve been soaking up the sun’s rays these last couple if days ☀️ After being under the weather, I‘m just loving the feeling of nourishing heat and light. It’s fully autumnal here now, but today has been like summer on the south coast of England, which is just so totally energising for me. So I’m excited about a weekend of self-care, work, and (this is a big deal for me)... decluttering. This time of year is perfect for letting go of anything that’s no longer... serving you (or maybe never was, let’s be real), reflecting on the past, getting cosy and preparing to hibernate, so that we do what’s needed over the winter months in order to be ready to blossom afresh come the new year and then spring. The next full moon (the Hunter’s Moon) 🌕 will be illuminating the skies on 24th October, so that’s your absolute peak time for ditching old patterns and irrelevant baggage, and getting clear about the juicy stuff that really, truly matters. Get the fires burning now, so that you are prepped and focused, fit and well, ready to blaze through these darker months all the way to 2019. Burn bright, you lovely being! 🔥 The world needs your dazzling light ✨❤️🌟

So, you may have noticed, it’s World Mental Health Day today.
I made this video because I’m aware that I always try to be positive on social media. As do most of us. And that can leave people (maybe you?) feeling like everyone else has it all together, that everyone else is doing better. It’s not true.
Even though I am a clinical hypnotherapist and coach, I still suffer with low points and bad days (and have REALLY suffered with mental health problems in the past), everyone... does, and you are not alone. Reach out, ask for help, and if you need it, seek professional help.
We are all human, we all have the same kind of problems, and I am here to help, if you want or need it. My website is seymourclearlynow.com and my email is emma@seymourclinic.com. You can contact me for a free consultation, and we’ll take it from there. No obligations. It will help.
Above all, remember that we all struggle. Be kind, be compassionate, be gentle, with yourself and everyone else. I love you, and I hope you can love yourself too xx

Do you struggle with low self esteem? Do you have difficulty dealing with past traumas? Perhaps you don’t feel like you are really ‘yourself’, or not quite the person you’d like to be? Feeling so busy and wishing you could just slow down, relax, and find some time for yourself? Do you want to reconnect with who you truly are? I still have a few spaces available for my healing workshop on Saturday morning. Every woman has an inner goddess and in two hours, I will guide you as ...we reclaim ourselves. * B E A U T Y * is all around us, in every moment, if only we can choose to get out of our own heads, maybe even out of our own front doors, and open our eyes, our minds, and our hearts. After a wet and windy day, I’m feeling pretty grateful for a gorgeous evening walk on the beach. Time to slow down, stop, think deeply, feel, listen and see and hear. Sometimes we all just need a little peace and a connection with nature 🙏✨💕

* A L L C H A N G E * Today was a good day! New hair, new client, new workshop opportunity, a reminder that my husband is AMAZING, and all topped off with a gorgeous opening yoga flow followed by a deep and powerful gong bath. Think I’ll sleep well tonight! Thank you to all the beings and forces that made me feel so lucky today. There’s so much suffering in this world, it can be hard to just stop and appreciate the wins, the things that are going right, the blessings. I reco...mmend to my clients that they record at least one win every day in a dedicated journal. Just one thing you’re proud of, that feels good. This quickly and (almost) effortlessly builds up a r ally helpful reminder of all the ways in which you are powerful, and capable, and not useless, which can be so therapeutic to read on a bad day. Self-validation. The very best kind, my loves 🙏😘♥️

* J O Y F U L * Feeling so lucky, so grateful and so humbled by the amazing women who came to my healing meditation and Qoya workshops this weekend. You are all strong, powerful, gorgeous goddesses and it was a privilege to meditate, dance, shake, feel and heal with you. Thank you 🙏✨💃♥️

This really resonates with me. Grief is a powerful emotion and so long as you keep moving through it, you can and will heal. This is one of the reasons Qoya is such an amazingly therapeutic practice. I'm so grateful to dance with and through my emotions and to be holding space for others to do this too. Dancing is so primal, it's so intuitive, and you can use it as an emotional tool any time or any place x
