The Shakespeare Centre in Kendal is a converted theatre that dates back to 1829. It is now run by King’s Church Kendal as a community centre with rooms available to hire:
The King's Room:
The King’s Room is our largest room available to hire. It can seat up to 120 people in a conference style arrangement, however the space is very versatile and is regularly used for a number of different events and programmes.
The facilities available to those wishing to hire the King’s room are very accommodating; boasting a purpose built PA system, induction loop, HD projection, flip charts, whiteboards, lectern etc. For whatever you wish to use the room, we can help to facilitate your vision.
The Sedgwick Room:
The Sedgwick Room is an ideal meeting room for those looking for a venue to accommodate medium sized round-the-table conferences to a high industry standard. Alternatively, the space and facilities available are such that a number of possibilities are achievable, and the room is regularly used for a variety of meetings and events.
There are a number of options available for those wishing to hire the Sedgwick room including HD projector, screen, lectern, and catering facilities.
